TNL - Thank you for the reassurance. How long have you been itching? Mine has been pretty constant for 2 months! I was going to mention a neurologist to my GP when I see him again in a week if the itching persists.
Thank you for your help and good luck to you!
Anxiety and itching

I've been having these off and on for a couple of weeks, sometimes it's not so bad, but lately it has been constant. Then I feel like when the prickly part goes away, it'll itch a tad.
Definitely enough to aggravate me. Then if I let it, I'll constantly start thinking about it & it gets worse. For me, it is very hard to stop thinking about my physical symptoms - even though I know that anxiety causes them, sometimes I wonder if there's something else?!
It's weird that when I get out and walk or exercise it eases up, but if I try to lay down for a nap or sit at the computer for a while it'll get worse! I've also noticed that when I get a hot flash in my face, it'll itch. I'm only 33 & not going through meno!
Thank you for responding to me Wendy & I hope all goes well for you. Just remember - YOU ARE NOT ALONE
All in all, I know God is with me & he'll take care of me.

My face gets hot too. I also have a sore tongue and swollen taste buds and a bad taste on my tongue. I'm 40 and I did have my hormones checked and they came back normal. My skin also burns and is actually painful when the prickling lets up and the chills start. Please let me know how you make out at the neurologist. I may follow up with one if the symptoms persist. I wonder the same thing, if there is something the doctors aren't finding. I just can't convince myself that these are symptoms of anxiety because it's completely different from the last time. Thank you for connecting with me. It does make me feel better.

Hi Wendy,
My doctor has reassured me so many times that my symptoms are from anxiety/nerves. But, I'd like a test to see if that's exactly what it is. I'm sure they don't have one, because if they did many of us would be relieved to 'know' for sure that it is JUST that & nothing else. But for me, I have so many physical symptoms it's unreal.
Then it seems like as soon as I get over one symptom - I get 2-3 more in it's place! If I can remember, I will definitely get back with you on the neurologist appt.
Please remember you are not alone & people experience this stuff all the time. (I need to take my own advice!)
You can email me anytime if you need to talk, I check my email very often ~ cracie_fl@yahoo.com (Tracy)
