hi,everyone.
im fairly new here and have posted on a few boards. But my question here is...
I am not looking to be on anti depressants because i dont feel depressed. I feel like the side effects will and have made me more anxious and panicky then the actual help it might due.
I have alot of ppl i know who are taking meds and they Cant get off of them. They have been on them for many many years and feel thats it for them. They dont care about the side effects or the withdrawls of them. I just feel like i cant. Im scared of them actually.
I am wondering if anyone has any opinion on Natural ways to calm the nerves? because with me it seems like its my nerves that race and then i wory myself into anxiety and then panic.
The doctor gave me xanax as needed.25 mil
i have taken them to sleep one or two nights and then i dont take them bec even that scares me.
am i doing myself more harm then good here, not wanting meds? im just so Scared about this whole thing... any help?
Not Looking to medicate...Help

Did you quit cola's and caffein and if you went thru Session 5 it lists quite a few vitamins that help with anxiety and depression Magnesium, B6 and B12 and give it a good month before you notice a difference. I would also ask myself am I in a job I love? am I surrounding myself with positive people, am I in a good marriage all of these things cause stress. Do you know what is causing your aniexty/stress?About Lucinda Bassett | Privacy Policy | About StressCenter | Peer Support | Site Map

Hey Debbie,
i have absolutly No Idea what is causing this. I dont seem to have full blown panic attacks. I had 2 in the past 2 months, but the anxiety and fear and nervousness lingers afterwards for a long time. Its like i wake up and get nervous on the inside. Like im afraid, yet theres no danger.
i just started therapy and i ordered the program as well. Hoping that will help.
I also cut caffeine tremendously and chocolate also, although i miss it.lol
how about u? whats ur story?
my job,its a good job and im in a good place. i love my kids and the life i have with them.
i have alot of everyday stress, and had a Ruff year so maybe this was building up...
thanks for getting back to me.

Hi my02angelz,
I would try St. John's Wort. I've been on Paxil in the past, but, for me, the St. John's Wort works even better, and the only side effect is light sensitivity. I love it really and just recently told my husband to take it. He doesn't have problems with anxiety or depression but he has alot of stress at work...It takes 4 to 6 weeks to kick in so stick with it. In the spring and summer I only take one a day as a maintenance dose. Good Luck.

yeah give st. johns wort a try, i read good things, i am going to start it today. but let me tell you, dont be afraid to take a xanax once in a while as needed, it wont hurt anything. i have the .025mg also, and use it maybe once a week just to take the edge off and relax. anyway, try a multivitamin and vitamin D really helped me, now i am going to add st. johns wort

I was loking up st johns wort but it looks like its Mainly for depression. I am not depressed at all,i have these nerves that race inside, which i guess is anxiety. It seems like i drank a hundred cups of coffee.lol
I think thats why they gave me the xanax, but i try nt to take it and just work thru the racy feelings.
was wondering if anyone used the st johns or the happy pills they send with the program( not sure the name, lol) anyne have just anxiety? and what would they suggest?
Thanks again guys.
