Celexa, Zoloft, now what?

Hi Everyone,

I have been an active member for a few months now and have been doing well with recovery until this month. I stopped my meds accidentally but have been doing well since xmas however I am finding the depression is coming back again, to strong to battle alone.. Ive fallin right back into my cigs, self medicating, coffee and laziness. I think I need a med again but had trouble with Celexa (many side effects) and Zoloft made me nauseated a lot.. can anyone help suggest a couple more different meds that youve had success with?

Hi Maggie
I can suggest to try Paxil. They worked well for me. Dont be scare of the side affect b/c they will subside after 3-4weeks. I hope this helps.

My experience with paxil was positive when I was on it. However, getting off the drug...is extremely difficult. It has been the biggest challenge of my life. Memory loss, vision issues.
I Would stay away from paxil.

My mom has been taking Effexor for the past year. She seems to like it. I've been taking Zoloft, but I don't have the same side effects that you spoke of.

That one might be something to look into.
