I just got the program this week and have only watched the first DVD so far. I have severe anxiety and experience involuntary muscle jerks, naseau, chest paing, tingling feeling in my face, head and limbs, feeling as if I can't get a full breath of air in, insomnia, ect. Does anyone else here have severe symptoms like these? I feel as if no one else could understand what I'm going through and how it effects my daily life. These symptoms come and go but I usually have at least one of them at all times.

3kidsmom - Welcome to the group. I have had alot of the same symptoms as you go through. The good news is that I am learning with this program how to cope and deal with the anxiety and therefore the symptoms have gotten better. Anxiety will affect us in many physical ways, but as you learn the skills in the program, it will help you manage. Hang in there and be positive that this will be the answer you have been looking for. Also, nice to see someone else from Va. Good Luck.

Describes my symptoms to a tee! I am sorry that you are enduring this... it is no fun and you are certainly not alone by any means. At times, for me, the symptoms are absolutely paralyzing...like the past several days have been. I try to float/divert, and it just isn't working...

Best of luck to you...

Mom,
You are not alone. The symptoms you have are just a few of the ones I used to have everyday when I was having anxiety. I used to lose my breath and get dizzy, my hands and feet would tingle, I would feel like parts of my face were numb, I thought I was having heart attacks, etc. It is all part of anxiety and as you learn to control it the symptoms start to fade until they are gone!! Good luck!!!

Hi 3kidsmom,

I'm right there with you, severe anxiety, depression, tightness in chest, breathing diffculty, can't sleep, sleep to much and so on and so on. In my head it's always something. If people could hear my thoughts I would be locked away. I constantily think that something is wrong and I'm going to die. Then if I'm not thinking about that I'm thinking something bad is going to happen to one of my kids. I guess this sounds weird but sometimes I feel like to differed people, first the one that everyone sees, the normal one. And the other one is the one I described above. I've had the program since the begging of this year and I was bad and stopped around week 5 because I felt so much better. Well the past couple weeks I realize I shouldn't have stopped so now I'm back at week 3. Please stick with the program, I promise you that you will see change, but don't stop there keep going to the end and you will be amazed. I feel that there thoughts will always be there, in my head, but I am so much better at controlling them then them controlling me. good luck and god bless please feel free to pm if you have any questions.

Melissa
