I bought the this program in June. I am afraid to start it because I am afraid it won't work for me. I am deeply depressed and feel like I am losing my desire to live. I am pushing my family and friends away, I have started to lose intreast in everything.
Maybe I am afraid to start because what if it does work and I can change? What if it does not work and I stay the same or get worse?
Afraid to start the program.
You won't know if it works or not unless you try. So at least give yourself the 50/50 chance instead of 100% failure of leaving it in the box.
It's a good program and does help you to look at yourself and learn some stuff. You will still be the same you but better. More well rounded and more educated and hopefully less deeply depressed and having more of a desire to live. We all want you to post here for years and years-- give it a whirl. Pretty soon you'll be writing of your achievements and good feelings, I'll bet. You can do this. Open the box, get the stuff out and just start. Don't think, just do. Rah Rah Rah You can do it!!!

I agree w/newrunner, you will not lose anything by opening it up and just begin. Just think of babysteps...you can do it. Just a little bit of action will pay off more than you can imagine. I don't even have the CDs yet, but I got the intro one from my sister and it helped already to the point that I'm on this website. I googled Lucinda and here I am.
I'm getting the free email sessions offered right now, and they are very helpful. I'm not new to depression or anxiety (although I never have named the many things I've felt through the years as anxiety. There never seemed to be a word used quite like that.
But maybe nervous...would be a term...and my father use to bait us kids into behaving by telling us my mother was having a nervous breakdown. Well, what does that mean, when you are a kid. We just knew my mother was anxious and probably could have used this program in her day. She has passed on, but some of her legacy lives on maybe biologically or coping manners in some ways but not completely because we all have our own genes from two different human beings.
Also the way we were parented and the education we received. So here is an opportunity to gain education and you are at the right spot to express your feelings in a safe manner and get some help and insight. So go ahead and take your first baby step!

Yahoo!! Day 1 is here.
Don't even think about finishing at all. Just think of doing it for today. And then make that same decision again over and over and over. When you run into a bump in the road, reach out to others then commit yourself to keep on trying. Where there is a will, there is a way.
Your wife and your young child are so lucky-- they are getting a new and improved husband and daddy.
Congratulations on this big decision.
