Hi All-
I'm sure some of you either watch on tv, listen on XM, or read online/email/magazine - Oprah. I've always admired her and, at times when my life is less chaotic, will subscribe to her e-newsletters (the one in particular is her "Spirit" newsletter).
Anyway - I just checked my email and there was the newsletter. I usually just browse the article titles to see if I'm interested in opening up more links (LOL - it does take some time to go through all those stories).
So, today's newsletter has all sorts of great stories about different types of anxiety, happiness, etc. The reason I am even bringing it up (and I guess promoting it a little - sorry about that), is because there is a great article about Dana Delany having a Panic Attack and how she got through it.
You can read the artcile on Oprah's website, but here is the link: http://www.oprah.com/article/spirit/ins ... _delany
It actually helped to simply put, what we've been learning here. It is nice to hear there are others out there, even celebrities, who are going through every day anxiety and can overcome as well.
Good luck to everyone and I wish you great success. -J
Just got this in email from Oprah
Kind of a funny story in some respects but one that many of us can relate to as well. To discover there is no latch the whole time just clearly illustrates how much anxiety/panic are just something we do to ourselves. I can look back on instance I've had and think "how silly" but at the time were quite serious to me.
She has used the saying "there is no latch" to show her there are always other options or other ways to look at things.
Also, as you note, another illustration that we are not alone in this....other people experience this including "stars". I've always liked her so it is interesting to see her experience.
