Has anyone taken Zoloft? And if so how did it work for you. My doc is wanting me to start it and I am apprehensive. I had bad side effects to xanax, lexapro, and paxil. Thanks for your help.

Zoloft?

Hi,
I've been on Zoloft on two different occasions. It takes a little while for it to start working, but once it started working it was helpful for me. It took the edge off of things that would normally make me anxious and made life much easier to approach and handle.
I didn't have any bad side effects on Zoloft, but as this is the only SSRI I have ever used I don't know if I would have had any side effects with the others you mentioned. I will say at first (month or so) it made me a little tired, but this went away. Then when I finally got off Zoloft I had to come off of it really slowly or I'd experience a dizzy tingling sensation. Slowly but surely, I have stopped using Zoloft and am working (through this program) to manage my anxiety without any meds. But I will say, at the time I needed it (before I was ready for a program like this), Zoloft did help me a lot.
Hope this was helpful.
