Hello everyone, MY name is Grace Cushman, I am from Albuquerque, NM. I have suffered anxiety off and on for serveral years, but since December it has been almost on a daily basis. I have a very difficult time sleeping. One night I was up and turned the TV on and saw the ad on Lucinda Bassett's program. So I ordered it. I am now starting session 3.
I pray everyday for all of us suffering anxiety and depression. I would like to share this from 1Peter 5:6-7 "Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all you anxiety on Him because he cares for you.
Have a great week-end and keep praying.

Cushman,
very good advise. I do believe that anxiety is nothing that God cannot handle. I have recently turned it all over to the Lord and I am seeing very new differnt results, keeping them to myself made nothing happen at all. I know that God is healing me from my disorder and the verse that you wrote helped me realize that. I joined a prayer group on here we meet on Wed. nights at 10pm est. IF you would like to join let me know, it has helped me stay in faith and also has helped others and myself have different friends in Christ. God bless you@

That was beautiful what both of you have wrote. I am also a believer in God. I notice when I take my eyes and focus off of him.......that when I realize the level of anxiety I deal with.....or had been dealing with for several years. Praying in the spirit has been my most powerful tool!! Can you please share with me how I can join in on the Wednesday night prayer.

Here are some more scriptures that are paraphrased for all of us being delivered and made whole again......

God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love adn of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7

I will be strong, courageous, and firm; I will fear not nor be in terror... for it is the Lord my God Who goes with me; He will not fail me or forsake me.
Deuteronomy 31:6

All scriptures are paraphrased

Overcoming FEAR with your FAITH

There is no fear in God's love; but perfect love casts out all my fear. I am no longer tormented by fear.
1 John 4:18

I sought You, Lord, and You hear me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Psalm 34:4

When I am afraid, ANXIOUS, I will put my trust in You. I praise You, Lord for what You have promised. I trust you, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?
Psalm 56:3-4

I know that You are always with me. Lord. I will not be shaken, for You are right beside me.
Acts 2:25
ATTITUDE -- The mind is like a parachute...it doesn't work unless it's open!!

I believe alot of us forget just how close God is to us during our most challenging times.....The bible says that he is closer then the air we breath. When havoc comes upon us we take our focus off God and give power to what is coming upon us. Now how weak is that???? When our power and peace and victory comes from God. When anxiety and or panic comes around our first words should be Praise to our Father....it confuses the enemy and stops him in his tracks..........and peace is still again.

Remember Jesus spoke to mountains....fig tree. He spoke to problems....the bible says we have the same authority as he does and greater works will we do in his name. So lets start speaking to the challenges in our lives and get our power back in Jesus name.

For by his stripes we WERE healed.

The word healed is past tense.......the healing is already done. We can't ask Jesus to go back on the cross again for us. If we can keep focus on that....as a tool and a believer everything else will fall in place in Jesus name.

I'm so happy many of you enjoyed the power scriptures. Its amazing how quickly individuals would respond to a negative dramatic post but not something that helps them or empowers them............Remember one's actions will always be louder then there words and thoughts.
