A&E has a new show about people dealing with anxiety. It's called Obsessed and next week's episode deals with scary thoughts about harming others. It includes showing how Exposure therapy for this type of OCD is done. My friend who went through scary thoughts like this and Exposure treatment called me today and said, "Wow!" He applauds the girl having the obsessions to appear on TV admitting this. He also said the Exposure treatment is the same thing he went through.

It airs Monday, June 1 at 10 PM Eastern.

I saw the show last night and it looks really good for anxiety sufferers (like yours truly ;))

I have never seen the show and I dont think I want to. I started seeing an ocd specialist yesterday and she asked me if I had seen it. She actually told me not to. She said she has been having people that dont even have ocd coming into her office for help because of this show. She also said that some of her patients were effected very negatively by this. I kind of want to see it but I know I am very impressionable and at the stage I am in the program (starting week 3) . I dont know if that would be a wise decision. I too though applaud the girl you are talking about.
