I'm in session 2 and learning about the 6 steps to ending a panic attack.

I am realizing that I should really use these steps when I have any kind of stressful thought throughout the day, and not only for those times when I feel a huge panic attack will come over me.

For instance, I had a thought which caused some undue stress and gave me the butterflies. I felt a little depressed and slightly anxious from it. When I used the 6 steps it really helped to diffuse the slight anxiety of it.

Even thought I wouldn't have considered that a full blown panic or anxiety attack it was making me uncomfortable to think about and as I am such a sensitive person, surely it may have manifested itself into something more stressful throughout the day, giving me a bad day.

Just thought I'd share that - use the steps even at the slightest uneasy thought you might have and nip it in the bud before it grows into a monster.

If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it.

I agree completely. My panic attacks have sent me to teh Er about 9 times in the last 18 months. These coping steps are awesome. I have a lot of stress at work and I need to use these at the first sign of anxiety.
