Just curious, i know that people who are anxious can get derealization and depersonalization a lot. . But can you get them when you're depressed too?? Does anyone get DR and /or DP while depressed?

Holly--I believe that you can experience derealization with depression or anxiety. Plus, I think that depression and anxiety are closely related. I have lots of derealization and altho I don't like it, I know it is not dangerous and will not make me 'lose it'. It's the mind's way of taking a little break. People experience it differently. Good luck with everything : )

Hi Holly,

I definitely agree with dreamwver. It is all so closely related. I know derealization is something that is extraordinarily difficult for me to deal with when it is at its worst. It is almost as if when I get in that mode nothing I say can convince me that it will pass, even though it always does. Silly, I know.

Hi im new to this program an I have my doubts. But there is one thing that i hate an it scares me is the derealization. I dont like it at all an i feel like it is never going to go away.
