I can think of no better way to honor someone's passing than to look at our own life and see how precious and temporary it is.... and then do something at that moment to honor the life we have been given. Call that friend or family member you have been putting off. Take that walk today that you don't have time for. Do a little extra at work. Take in a deep breath because you can.
Paul has contributed to my life through his wife (Carolyn) and children (James, Monica). I work with these unique individuals and I see the effect his gentle, steadfast devotion has had on shaping their lives. Their family outreach is incredibly far and wide and deep. The union between Paul and Carolyn has been a blessing to many. His heart has survived many trials, including his last long battle, to live on in everyone he touched. I want to do my part to keep that love alive in me and pass it on to those who would have it.
Thank you Paul, for the Dickman family and the comfort that brings to us all. May the Lord keep you and your family in peace.
