MERRY CHRISTMAS, CHARLIE BROWN !!!!! (I've been waiting a year to use that one LOL)
You can go into the new year now without having one of the resolutions being "get a job" !
I really wish you'd hate your job even a little bit (.....kidding). Be grateful you got a good job , Chuck !

I had been offline for the past several days due to several factors, including my PC dying on me. I am typing on my old 2004 model

I enjoy my job but, with NY currently getting hammered by a blizzard, I keep check my job cell phone for a message from my manager about tomorrow.

I feel like I am back in school: I got a snow day!
The blizzard closed my office.

Today I was just let go by my company along with 400 other employees company-wide. It had nothing to do with performance or tenure. A whole bunch of people in my office with the same title were also cut. It's a downsizing.
I will begin planning my next move tomorrow. I am taking it pretty bad right now because I really enjoyed the job, my manager, etc.
I will be in touch.
