I feel like I have more problems with mild depression than anxiety. It does seem like this programs focus is more on anxiety and I am wondering if it will be helpful for me. I am only on session 2 and I did see in the workbook a little bit more on depression. I have had problems off and on since I was a child but not bad enough to go to a dr. about it. I have tried lots of herbs and vitamins and that type of thing without much help. I am very hopeful about this program.

We are having some computer problems right now, so if you don't hear from me for a little bit, that is why.

Hi all,

I was wondering how Faith was doing.

I ran into another person on another thread that I would like to link folks here to:

http://bbs.stresscenter.com/ev...&r=71110206#71110206

This problem of depression may go back much further then when you start looking back. That is the problem for us, the looking back, because that could feed into the cycle of depression.

A few weeks ago I thought my depression was going back 15 years, and then a little more reflection sent me back to 18 years ago. In the end it is more important to look at what is happening today with a positive outlook for tomorrow.

If I can help anyone and encourage them to live the moment, please it is my hearts cry to be there for any of you.

Here is an excellent teaching on dealing with Anxiety and depression:

Hi lisalee and everyone else,

May God's blessing be on all.

Lisa, I posted this from an earlier reply on this same page but you missed it. It's okay we can understand. Be Still and Know that He is God. Watch for His subtle movement and gentle and still small voice.

I was diagnosed with Bipolar 2 years ago when I almost drank my self to death and almost committed suicide. I missed my daughters dance recital. Every April/May I get really bad and don't know why it's these months. I start with anxiety then to panic then to severe depression. I have been committed the last 2 years in May and and now are starting the same symptoms. I have the tapes. Any suggestions?

Hi, my name is Daisy. I started in January and have not been keeping up with the tapes or studies. So I have decided to start over and give it my full attention.

I suffer from depression and am on medication and see a dr. This week the depression is extreemly bad and I don't know where to start. I don't really know how to get around in this program with the postings and chat rooms. :?

Hi Daisy,

You are definetly doing the right thing by doing the tapes. Session three has made a lot of sense to me about why I am and get so depressed. I have suffered from depression, on and off since I was 13 years old. I am 41 years old now. I am hopeful that this program will work. Good luck to you. :)

Dear Vikki5025, Scott D

Sorry it has been so long to respond to your enlighting e-mail but I was back in the hospital. I refused the ETC and just went in for medication adjustments.

I also had a hard time after having the shock treatments. My memory is just not the same and I feel like a fool when I have to ask my husband things that I should know.

Like you Scott I have a hard time with reading retention. I have to read the same page 2 or 3 times before I understand what I read. My biggest problem I find is trying to remember numbers like phone numbers and birthdates.

I wish I could do what you do Vikki by going outside and taking walks but I am also agorophobic and can't leave the house. I never open the drapes or the front door for fear of someone coming to the door. I don't answer the phone either unless I recognize the number on the caller ID.

I did do something today that I have not done in a year and that was to go grocery shopping. Of course it was 6:00 in the morning and my husband was at my side the whole time while I hung onto the buggy and he pushed it. I had a couple of moments where I just wanted to leave but he talked me through it. I felt a whole lot better once we got home and I was in my safe place.

I started the program over with session one and I am going to stick with it know matter what this time.

Wish me luck, I will keep in touch and I hope you are both doing well.
