hi there!!!! why can't you dance? i'm not allowed to dance at work. why? because my super good friend at work told me "honey, you dance SO white - please don't do that anymore!" sadly, she has a valid point!!!!LOLOL

i more than understand the can't relax thing you put in your s/n. do tell about the why's and wherefore's? everybody will move heaven and earth to give you advice and make/force you to feel better. i know i surely will!!!!

man of music was so right - blast all men LOL things have gotten better at work. it's truly a place of such ups and downs. it is what it is - they are who they are - and i am who i am. some weeks are grueling - to say the least. people there will throw anyone in front of a train or under a bus to not accept responsibility for anything. i've never seen anything to beat it. and when i'm the one being run over, it absolutely breaks my heart. i don't understand that kind of behavior. one day this week or next, i'll be run over again,

i'm so glad you enjoy this thread. man of music absolutely rocks! the way he has evolved into someone who can smile while someone berates him like a pickpocket amazes me. AND he goes home with not looking back!!!! envy here LOL while i'm mostly able to "imitate" him at work, on the bad days, i carry it home, take it to heart, and go to what i call "the dark place" to family and fiends.

Can't Dance ! - It's true ! We got so burned out by Easter that we got a holiday in between New Year's Day and Easter. It came into effect a few years ago. We already have St. Patrick's Day ! LOL Green beer kind of nauseates me. LOL It's a sin to put green food colouring in beer ! LOL

Karma ! - Today was an awesome day ! Both bosses were gone ! One (the jerk) is on vacation and the other one (the one that's turning nice) was at meetings all day ! This week will be a rough week starting tomorrow because 3 or 4 jobs are due. I'm beginning to laugh at the stress (laugh to myself of course LOL).

Sorry to read that you are dancing impared ! LOL It doesn't matter though. Just make sure the blinds are down, then dance like you've never danced before ! LOL Just watch yourself....people our age can break a hip real easy ! LOLOLOL

I'm not THAT cool at work ! LOL I'm just able to hide it. I have learned not to bring it home with me anymore. I leave it all there. I still have my moments though.......don't we all ! There are a few people I work with that will not only tie you to the tracks, they'll drive the train over you. There are people like that everywhere. The trick is to pity them, not hate them. I feel bad for people that have to act like jerks just to get attention. They feel bad attention is better than none. Oh well.......

Tomorrow morning, I will wake up with a smile on my face and start the day off right.

today was a good day - not that much going on yet - but soon. my job description has been changed a bit, but nobody has clued me in as to what has been taken away or what i've been given. eventually someone will email me - i guess LOL

there is a cat, dog, possum, stalker - whatever - prowling around outside. it's making keeper nuts. he's grabbed just about everything in this bedroom and thrown it around - to include me LOL i will say this. once upon a time i had 5 cats and they roamed. now i know how insane that must have made the neighbors. i offer an apology to all of them into the universe right now LOL i have a spray bottle of water as my torture tool i use. you'd think i was going to beat him with a stick when he sees me grab it. and he loves water - go figure LOL now it's time to just to just grab him up and hug and pet on him. he's also bored.

Hi Karma ! Sorry to butt in again but I guess my name is a little misleading, so I thought I would clear it up. I can dance a little but it certainly isn't my biggest problem! It is actually a line from an old John Mellencamp song that kept running through my mind when I first started having panic attacks. When I registered on this site, I was in such a stew it seemed to be appropriate. Karma and Man of Music and everyone else, I have enjoyed this site so much and it has helped me more than any medicine. I used to only look at health related posts but I have been trying to be more positive and boy has this thread helped. Karma, I have just identified with you because 1)we are both in the south-we have the same weather 2)we deal with the same type of people 3) we have the same Mom with the same coupons 4)we have the same dogs 5) I smoke-it is my only bad habit besides having a heart attack (HA)6)I thought I was the only person obsessed with not turning the heat on...turns out, there are two of us! The only difference is I have children, so when they are all sitting around covered in blankets, I have to turn it on, BUT I don't like it. Maybe when my children are grown we could move in with Man of Music and freeze his a** off!!! HA HA Anyway, you guys rock, as you know! I really appreciate all the laughs and just not feeling alone...I'll butt out now

I don't know if you could handle Canada. LOL You'd have to turn the heat on for sure. There aren't enough blankets in the house. Besides, it's 34 degrees today ! It's almost swimming pool weather.

Karma ! - Today was an awesome day ! Tomorrow is the day that 2 jobs I designed are being run. I always feel a little queezy the night before. I don't know why, but I do. That's one of the things I still have left to work on. I'll get there one day at a time.

i am feeling such pity yet a closeness for can't dance - a person who is actually living a parallel to my life LOL

i did a bit of this and that at work today. another department had a huge mailing going out - 4500 letters. i volunteered to help. that always seems to astound people - someone's willingness to pitch in to help. the thing that amazed me was that everyone in that department worked together - what a concept.

thought for you. maybe the nervousness you are feeling is happy anticipatory anxiety? i figure if you're a designer you must be a bit of an artist? send me your wiki link so i can have a clue what i may have stumbled onto? LOL

in my fervoUr for british movies, i just watched "london to brighton". what a downer. one of the reviews said bleak and grim don't begin to describe it - bingo. it's not a movie i'd recommend for 2 reasons. one - it's a sad movie about prostitution in london. two - the accents are almost ****ney - maybe? it was very hard for me to understand. it took forever for me to understand one character's name was joanne and not john - and she was a girl LOL

i think it's cats roaming about at night. whatever it is annoys the boys. if it's a peeping tom or anything, all i have to do is let the dog out. there's no doubt they won't take prisoners. this is their house and yard and they are most territorial.

the boys being praised, i will say there's absolutely nothing to see around here at night. just me in curlers with no makeup roaming around watching bits and pieces of movies while doing this and that. to say things don't rock around here at night is the ultimate understatment LOL x forever

it was beautiful here today. the sky was so blue and not a single cloud. it was nippy and windy - but the blue sky - what a treat!!!

thinking about it, you guys probably do swim in 34-40 degree weather LOL given the choice between a new line and salt system or filling in my pool, i did opt for the no fill thing. it was going to cost more money than you can imagine! pure highway robbery!!!!

your presentations will be outstanding tomorrow. worry all you want - it will be for nothing though! something tells me from your grammar, spelling and sentence structure you are a bit of a perfectionist. am i right on the money there?

I LOL when I read about your heating bills!!! I will trade with either of you!!! My electric bill doubled this month...It was very close to the $400 mark...LOLOLOLOLOL

I have a fireplace also!!! I love the smell of wood burning, even love hearing the popping and crackling sounds, and watching the fire relaxes me sooo much!!!

Of course, everyone's electric bill around here doubled, so I am not alone...tee hee...

Begin cleaning house and cooking...Clean, Clean, and Clean some more...Cook, Cook and Cook some more...Do laundry, more laundry, and even more laundry...

Have lots of company, who drop in all throughout the day, so, that means lots of children to clean up after...LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Take care of 3 house dogs, and two cats which live outdoors...One house dog is a fully grown chocolate lab, and he is half human...LOLOLOLOL

The other house dog is a beagle hound, meant to be kept outside and to hunt..Last, but not least, my little dachshund puppy, who sleeps beside my bed in his crate every night..He is my baby, and he is teething...LOLOLOLOLOLOL

I live down in the boondocks, so there are lots of mud!!! Ever get bored come down and we all can have a mud fight...LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Ms T Bones ! - I still need to tackle the mall. That's one of the things I want to do before I die....which will probably happen at the mall.

Karma ! - From 7:00am until 2:30pm, all went wonderful. One of the 3 jobs went into production today ! 1 down, 2 to go. 1 more gets tried out tomorrow to see if it runs and the last one on Tuesday of next week. Anyway, after 2:30pm, all h*** broke loose. None of it was my fault, but I had to run around and make the necessary changes so the stuff would work. It was non-stop from 2:30 until 4:30. I'm so tired right now. The day ended up flying by ! That's a positive thing.

As for the perfectionist thing, ummmmmmm...maybe. For the past 20+ years in the business, I've had some real winners for bosses. Many of them let me know exactly what they thought of me and my work. They never fired me, but they might as well have. My work is good and my attitude is good. I think they had problems that had nothing to do with me, but I was the nearest target. Anyway, after all of the negative stuff that's said, it eventually becomes easier to believe the bad stuff. I've learned to deal with that kind of garbage, but once in a while, the internal stuff gets triggered and it takes a little while to come down from it. I think that's the real reason I get nervous before jobs are tried out.

Overall, today was on the plus side of good. I hope tomorrow is at least as good. It will be Friday after all !

How was today ?

my day was good. if i didn't like so many of the people who wander by and laugh and talk to me i'd lay on the floor screaming with boredom. thinking about it now, nobody would miss a beat if i were lying on the floor screaming. it's who we are. oh and i provide short counseling and therapy sessions as needed - something they also stop by for lol x forever

if i hadn't experienced what you've experienced with management, i'd say your bosses couldn't have been that bad. but i know they were and are. there is absolutely not a doubt in my mind. well at least for today you didn't have idiots jerking you around!

i was always so afraid of having a panic attack on the way to anywhere - whether the grocery, the mall, the moon - you name it. once i'd get there, i'd be fine. i have this odd ability to encapsulate myself into my own space and not see or hear anything beyond a 5 foot radius. even at christmas when the main mall here would be mobbed, i never felt anyone near me or really heard anyone. i was within my space.

it's strange the things that bother us. think about it. if we left 2 full shopping carts at the grocery or a thousand things to ring up in a store and suddenly just left, nobody would really miss a beat. they'd just put it all back in probably less than 10 minutes because they know where everything goes. they might be annoyed but they'd never remember our faces.

it's like eating lunch or dinner alone in a restaurant. it doesn't bother me in the least yet i know people who would never dream of eating alone in public. i honestly don't think i'm interesting enough for anyone to bother themselves to really watch. today i had a book and was sitting waiting on my order when i thought i heard my name. sure enough, a friend had sat at the table next to me and was surprised to see me. i offered her to come sit with me and - bless her heart - she asked if she'd be intruding - i was that engrossed in my book. i told her "not at all." she's a darling girl. i'd asked several friends if they wanted to have lunch - everyone had this and that going on. my friends did't make me feel shunned and i didn't take their no's to heart. sometimes i have plans or just want to be alone for a while.

i've now watched so many good movies on netflix that i find myself in a movie slump. the last 3 movies have not held my interest - at all. thinking about it right now, it's probably because i need exercise x 105.

i overslept this morning - woke up at 7:08. since i'm supposed to be at work by 8:00 - oh well. i hurried but knew i was going to be late. i will not leave the house without makeup - it simply isn't done LOL yet somehow i was only 10 minutes late - go figure! the worst part of it all was that i just wasn't happy with what i was wearing - bad sweater choice. i felt the bad sweater choice all day. tonight i will have clothes ready to jump into tomorrow morning LOL

i've been reading articles about decluttering. i know i've decluttered unnecessary people from my life - it was time. now i want to start decluttering the house. if - if - if - i get myself in gear, i plan to take one drawer at a time. just one at a time. if a drawer is opened around here it's almost an impossibly to close it again. the things i have stuffed into here there and everywhere is mostly useless and never seen or remembered until the unfortunate drawer is opened. if i don't know it's even there, why am i keeping it? and why am i boring you simple with this? LOLOL x forever
