You may be on to something. Should the shoes be the same color? Can the left be brown and the right black?
Hey Charlie, I suggest you wear a white and a black sock!!! Make sure your pants are "short" enough to draw some "attention" to your socks

!!!
I also suggest you wear "denim jeans" and a white dress shirt with a bow tie, but make sure to wear a shoe of a kind, also!!! You might want to try a "very shiny black dressy shoe" and "a very dirty looking tennis shoe" for your other foot
Better yet, you could walk in there "totally" barefooted!!! I bet this one would work really well, since I am sure it would draw much attention to your appearance, and they may just feel sorry for you and give you that job
The thing is Charlie, you need to "draw some major attention" to your self"!!!
I think I would try walking in there barefooted with very "old holey denim jeans, first.. :p
Then if that don't work you may want to take it to the "extreme"...

!!!
Too funny for me!!! Get some rest tonight Charlie!!! I am sure things are going to get better very soon!!!

manofmusic, I totally "cracked" up when I read this one!!!
I can just see Charlie walking in there in a "running" shoe and a "high heeled shoe"...
This is more than just a little funny...This is "absolutely" hilarious!!!
I bet I will laugh over this one for days on end!!!
Thank guys for the laughs !!!
I am sure by putting our "three brains together" we will come up with a solution very soon...Tee Heeeee HEEEE teee heeeee heeee...Much too funny for me!!!

Wow! Both of your suggestions blow away mine. I was thinking of the left shoe a brown square-toed with a Plymouth Rock-type buckle and the other shoe a black and white wing-tipped.
If I go in barefoot, I can't wash my feet for days. In addition to the visual impact, I want to include the olfactory senses.
For the pants, I could wear a potato sack.
And the cherry on the top

? I'll wear a beanie with a propeller on it.

wow Chuck. ummmmm you're probably better off sliding into the interviewer's office with just the socks ! Just make sure they're clean.
As far as the other senses go, you MAY not want to make the interviewer barf. You WILL be remembered, but not for good reasons. Keep the stink at home. You want to be remembered for being Charlie Brown, not Pigpen. LOL

Maybe you should just go in a straightjacket and a Hannibal Lecter mask (with bare feet)!!!!!!!!!!

I found Sandra Bullocks situation funny. On Saturday night, she won a "Razzie" award for worst actress in the movie "All about Steve." Of course, we all know what happened last night as she won an Oscar. She mentioned that life is just like that...you get some wins and some losses...it keeps us humble.

Beating ourselves up, its what its all about isnt it. Somehow we feel that we deserve these feelings and want them there all the time...like its a pity thing. Oh yes, it becomes a part of your life...expecting bad news, people to be rude or nasty, having something go wrong. I never dealt with all those since I was young. I think most of those feelings came from a pre-conditioning from my parents not being happy and things occurring in the home. If you were there and witnessing this you felt a part of it and possibly part of the problem as a kid blaming yourself. And though life you find you are seeking things to go well often enough to alleviate that pain.
Seek things THAT HAVE MADE YOU FEEL GOOD IN THE PAST....even if its ONE THING....focus on it.
I used to be an outdoorsy type, kayaking, trailblazing, painting, biking and stopped....I love gardening and lost interest in that somewhat because of lifes bad times. I let the bad times win so to speak. And we have to learn to block out the bad news of the world around us.....THIS IS ONE OF THE CAUSES WHY WE ARE DEPRESSED also....too much bad news, not enough good....turn off that tv, put down that newspaper, put that radio talk show to sleep....its a downer....we cant solve the worlds problems but if we dont take care of our our state of minds we will be useless altogether. creamcheese
