Do you really and honestly believe your 18 yr old does not know. I am sorry to say the yes two can be togeather and lead togeather while living seperate lives. Do not think for a second that it is not germinating, and growing the SAME disfunction to and in the kids.
Dakereb I feel your just decieveing yourself and your child rather than confront what you have stated is a ongoing disfuntion of your wife, her beginings and the load of deception and anquish your living.

SoWhatIf, you raise a point I have thought about before, in that my kids may think this is a normal marriage and follow the same path. It is very hard to tell what they know and do not know. This is something I will discuss with my wife.

Keep in mind that my wife and I get along very well. We do not fight, and we do tend to each other. It is not a dark, glum existence. We are quite considerate of each other. So it is not all bad. But I would certainly want better for my kids.
