aleisa123- Oh that sounds good - a lavender bubble bath.

Music Fan- yes, let's keep posting in this one for daily simple pleasures. Good idea. Love the "Give a hug, Get a hug."

Today's simple pleasure: Putting on my brand new exercise pants (the kind that look like clam diggers) and driving to the park for a nice long walk. Love these pants! LOL! :) And I ended up at the dog park so I sat and watched the doggies play a bit before heading back along the trail to my car. I feel like Summer has finally come! Yay!

My simple pleasure today is being outside with my new plants and going up to Meditation Mount (a meditation hill top retreat that overlooks the whole valley) and listening to the peace and watching the redtail hawks flying.

Not for sure if this is actually a simple pleasure but this phrase never fails to put a smile on my face. The traffice reporter on the radio always uses the phrase "Sunshine Slowdown". Now I know he means the sun is in the drivers eyes so they go slower but isn't it just a fun thing to hear. I think we could all use a sunshine slow down at least during part of the day. I repeat this phrase to myself when I'm out running around getting caught up in doing errands and not enjoying the moment. It reminds me to slow down.

A Sunshine Slowdown - I love it. I will meditate on that today when I'm up on the mountain. Thanks for that simple pleasure phrase.

one of my pleasures is watching my two little ones play together and make eachother belly laugh. To me it's like, yeah! having them so close was a good decision because they can play together and get a long so well. (they're 3 and half and 2). I laugh at my chubby horse when he kicks up his heels when he's feeling frisky and also when I'm brushing him out, he starts to "groom" me back. My poor old pooch whose been with me for 13 years, still tries to act like a pup when I play with her even though now she's limpy and deaf.

My simple pleasure was last night. After several rough nights of being unable to sleep because of pain, I slept like a baby! Good that the doc diagnosed shingles and I am on a med for it and that nasty rash on my hand is fading! :D

My husband was working in the garden last evening in 90 degree weather. I brought him a glass of iced tea. He also has a heel spur, so I gave him a foot massage which he said helps a lot. It feels so good to give to another.
I also filled my mother in law's hummingbird feeder and watched three of them fight and chase each other over it. They are so cute!

My simple pleasures? Hearing the birds sing (and everything QUIET otherwise). Feeling the breeze. Walking on (yes, ON) the streetcar rail. Finding a four-leaf clover. Petting a cat. Seeing the flowers. A clear, blue sky.

Years ago there was a commercial on TV for some kind of pork and beans. Their theme was, "Simple pleasures are the best." They got it right!

I remember that jingle: "Simple pleasures are the best, all the little things that make you smile and glow, all the things you know". :)

My simple pleasure today: enjoying my brand new carpeting. Have been kind of worried about buying it and worrying about whether it would be the right color. But I love it and I sometimes just sit and look at it and my newly painted walls and smile. So happy I made a good decorating decision. :)
