thanks so much for the information. I have read about panic attacks so many times and the symptoms but, for whatever reason it seems to help to read them again and know that It isn't anything more than the anxiety doing its dirty work. Just seems so hard to deal with without totally losing it.

Just glad to know that I am not alone in this. I am glad the symptom list was posted!!!

I thought that I had all of the symptoms of panic and anxiety...I guess there are a ton more that I could have. I have a friend with anxiety who once told me that once you master one aspect of anxiety and tell yourself "knock it off"--then the anxiety changes its face and comes at you from another angel. Now I see how that could happen. I keep getting stuck on week 3...trying to work through the program but I am getting discouraged. My panic is worse since I started doing it--I think it is just coincidence--but finding it hard to push through.

yall i seriously need help can anyone help?

I decided to start the program because some of my old ways are returning, yet I know I could never be that person again the program is wonderful

This post made me feel so much better! When i have panic attacks, I catch myself somewhere in lines of "this isn't anxiety." I always somehow tell myself that, and it causes a huge episode. I think i might print this off and put it in places where I could read it easily. Thanks for the post!

Oh my goodness, printing it is an awesome idea! I didn't even think of that. It would be really helpful for a laugh when I need it most!

Lol, yeah! i like to laugh after i panic! But trying to laugh while i'm panicing isn't even possible! haha.

I used to have " the floor feels like it is moving either
down or up for no reason " feeling years ago while having
a panic attack ! I could not even ride up or down on an
escalator either !

"Heart - beating hard or too fast, rapid heatbeat", the first time
this happened to me I had a rapid heartbeat for two hours
and had no idea what was happening to me. My panic was
sending me into more panic !

"Dramatic mood swings" , well just ask my family about this one !

"Fear that you are losing your mind", well, I guess I
sort of DID lose my mind for a little while there,
I ended up in the hospital ! PS: Got my mind back
and I am doing "ok" now.

"Light-headedness". I had those feelings of
bewilderment, sort of like a spacey feeling.

"Underlying anxiety, apprehension, or fear". Yeah, had this
one too. I had anxiety, I was afraid of losing my job due
to my condition. I DID eventually lose my job, due to Workforce Reduction !

"Difficulty Swallowing". How long did I have to LOOK at my pills
before I actually took them. Forever ! The pills always felt like they
were getting stuck in my throat.

"Insomnia". I have had this for years. I am so used to having
insomnia that I don't know what a good nights rest is like,
even with taking the sleeping pill. Yawn. I had better go to bed now !

Hi- I am new here. I have just discovered this program and this forum. This post is especially helpful. I am diagnosed hypochondriac and I have had almost all of these symptoms. Most recently it was migraines, flashing lights and floaters in my eyes, which made me go to the eye dr and get a full eye exam by an ophthalmologist not once but TWICE, was then referred to neurologist where I had MRI and MRA done. Everything was normal, thank god. Now I am experiencing muscle twitching which started as minimal twitching in my legs and now it's pretty intense. All over my whole body and sometimes even makes my leg or arm jolt. I feel like a crazy person. Of course I started googling (need to stop doing that) and convinced myself I had some neurological disorder even though I JUST had a normal MRI weeks ago (and a whole host of other blood work, etc, which was all normal). I called my neorologist and PCP and was reasurred it was just stress or maybe a vitamin deficiency causing the twitching. I know I am Vit D deficient so I am taking that and other supplements. Has anyone else experienced this and came out the other side??? I am starting to watch my life slip away. I can't sleep or work. I'm thinking of taking medical leave so I can get my life together. I hate feeling anxious and sick all of the time. I refuse to take anti-depressants. I just feel like that wont cure me- just cause more problems. and I am currently trying to get off my xanax XR which I have been using as a crutch from quite some time and obviously isnt helping me- I still suffer from extreme anxiety if not worse than before I got the script. Please help... anyone with anything useful to day will help me. Thank you!
