I do understand why you just can't get rid of the thoughts about what might happen - what if thinking... It is hard to just except that your heart is going to beat 180 beats per minute. Mine gets up to 120 beats and I am freaking out.
Maybe if you got a second opinion by another cardiologist that could give you peace of mind...just a suggestion.

ty ellkay...
i am actually going to get another opinion by a electrologist or someone that studies the electrical system in our bodies...i have to go see him on tuesday! my cardiologist suggested him and said that he is the best and that hopefully that will make my mind more at peace! i really hope so because i have bad days that has everything to do with just my HEART going fast! and not a normal minute in that day!
it is the most scarry thing but i do have torealize it is nothing that is going to hurt me and that i need to stop the negative thinking!

I had a PAIN in my chest near the heart, before I srarted this program. The RELAXATION tape helped me a lot. The Heart pain is no longer there. I found that tension was doing it to me.
Now I do the breathing exercise and the tension release as the "RELAXATION TAPE" suggests.
I'm 82 years old and a man, so this type of pain is worryisome.

QuerellaMom,
Glad to see your going for a second opinion, your heart should not be working that hard and fast.
Do you ever feal dizzy when you have this Tachycardia? 180 is beyond fast.

do any of you worry about your hearbeat when you take a very deep breath or yawn? My heart beats very "hard" when I do that and of course I worry about it.

Can't say I have this one.
What I tend to worry about is sometimes laying in bed I seem to feel my heart beat more than I think I should, then I start getting nervous that something is wrong and then start thinking I can't breath.
God, if I got nervous when I yawned I'd have some bad days at work.
