Lisalee,

I had the same problem. What really helped me was picking up a book and reading until I became tired and fell asleep. I really took pressure off of myself by adapting the attitude "Oh well, if I fall asleep great. If not, it's a drag, but it won't kill me."

There's a book "Hope for nervous suffering" (I believe that's the title; it is by an australian woman) that really helped me.

I'll be hoping for the best for you!

Lisalee-

I have had the same problem...

Here is what helps me...

The viamin ZINC 50mg
also
The vitamin Magnesium

I buy them both at walgreens, I suffer with severe OCD as well and zinc actually helps the OCD because in studies it is proven that alot of OCD suffers have too much copper in their system and the zinc balances the copper also Magnesium also had a calming affect on the body.

I have discussed this with my dco and pharmacist.

Try it it does not interfere with medication

Hello,

Well I am hoping you had some decent sleep last night. I know with me that while going through this sleep problem I would be thinking a lot that I wasn't going to be able to sleep..the next night..and the next night and on and on daily. It's a normal reaction if you've been not sleeping for any length of time. I kep thinking if I could just stop being over anxious about this then I would sleep.LOL
It didn't happen that way for a long time. Then 1 night I could shut my brain off, I went to bed as always, but didn't think about sleep...i was watching something on tv that I became intereted in...guess what ..that's right i fell asleep and missed the show. Now that was inspiring to me and took the edge off a litle. I did the same thing the next night and every night for years...sometimes it worked great, sometimes not but at least I was getting some night time rest from my thoughts. I was soooooo happy and stopped worrying about each night to a point. Just a little thing that was helpfull for me.

Been praying for you,
God Bless,
Deborah
