Hi Robin...
Well, I haven't gotten over it..
It hasn't gone completely away yet. It has been since December 27th. But I do think that it is improving. I notice it quite a bit, today in fact, and my torso goes numb too. Mostly around my back and sides, to match my face and neck and feet, legs. I guess I just try to stay busy, and not focus is on it as much as I did. My dr. thinks that it is anxiety again, and my xrays and MRI's don't show anything. Blood work ok, all that. She knows me pretty well, because this is my second go around with anxiety, but a different set of symptoms this time. It is always something different for me. So I guess about 3 months of it now, almost 24/7. My worst symptom, is my right eye is blurry alot, and feels funny. Don't know why, but I am taking Wellbutrin and Ativan, and both mess with your eyes... Eye doc, and doc don't see anything wrong, just some floaters drifting around in my eyes. Bummer.. Anxiety causes that also...
What really make me made, is that it will hit, when I seem to be just fine, working around the house, or what ever. I will just be along my merry way, and all of a sudden, my neck and leg skin will feel numb, or sometimes tingling. Most of the time, when I do stop and think about it, I notice that I am breathing shallow, or taking little breaths, and holding them. I don't know I do it. So I never expect to feel bad, until it hits. It is frustrating I know, but since you have been through this before, you probably remember that you have felt crappy before, and then you felt normal again. Then crappy, then normal, etc. You will feel normal again too, just have to wait it out. Nerves take a long time to heal, months in some cases. Do the program again, and let it calm you down again. Even if you have done it before, use it again, for the effect. Relax, relax, and relax as much as possible. Take some me time, to calm down. You will make it through! Read through my "tingling, does it ever stop" post, and you can follow my saga with it too. I have met a couple friends in that post, that helped me calm down when I needed it too, and every day, I feel that I get a little better, and a little better. Can't wait for summer, my happy time of year!
Write anytime you want!
