My doctor started me on 10 mg Lexapro & .5 mg X 3 Klonopin at the same time. I couldn't stay awake, so I reduced the Klonopin to .25 mg. When I went back to the doctor she could see that I was still out of it, so she took me off the Klonopin & increased my Lexapro to 20 mg. I had headaches for a few days, starting about a week into it, so I don't know if it was the Lexapro or not. But other than that, no side effects from it.

I can't tell that it reduces my anxiety, but it does make me think before I react, which means I'm less irritable and am more chilled. And it seems to have lessened my depression.

Hello Everyone,

I started Lexapro 20mg on the 5th of January.
I had a constant headache for two days but it seems to be finally going away. Probably just a temporary side effect. I do feel less anxiety on it as the days go by so it must be working. The dry mouth side effect is also gone.
Does anyone also take 10 mg of Ambien? I have been on ambien for a month everynight. The doctor says that it's safe. It does help me sleep and doesn't seem to have any adverse side effects. I heard some people take it for years.
This program is also helping. Only on the fourth day but it is very encouraging to know that other people have gone through this and are doing great.
