That is an excellent idea. I understand completely the idea of breaking a thought pattern..
It's sort of like lifting the needle on an old record player, and putting the needle down on a new song or track.
Good job.
The other day I realized for the first time probably, that I was having a panic attack. I was in a hotel, and my hotel door closed (to my room) and my heart raced and I had full on panic.
But I realized I was triggered by the door closing. I was afraid I would end up isolated in my room instead of going out and enjoying the day. When I realized that, I got the heck out of dodge, that's for sure.
So, identifying what is happening is also a big step.
