Stress Center Peer Support

Hi all,
I have been on anti-depression pills for last 2 years and I got into that as my job is very stressing and needs a lot. Now I fell that these medications are affecting me. Studies have shown that male with depression are more prone to ED disorder. I am 39 and think that I am suffering with this disorder and it is affecting my life. The whole day I feel stressed about my health and my sex life and this is affecting my married life as I think that I am not able to give her the best. This has further depressed me a lot.

Calendargirl I was on .05 three to four times a day depending on I was feeling.
I know that you know that feeling of a heaviness surrounding you and a feeling of running and a feeling of fear and dieing. I know that it is so overwhelming that you think there is no way out. Let me tell you that there is a way out. It takes time to learn your body and why it is doing the things it is doing.
I am teaching this class at church My Body, His Temple. It is a DVD series I got online and I love it. It shows us why our brain thinks the way it does and how to fix it.
I was taking .5 of Lorazapam and it helped me but I know I could not depend on it forever.
I slowly tappered off. Your body will tell you but don't ever just stop you have to do it slowly and little bits at time that way you body doesn't even know that you quit.
YOur mind plays some tricks on you if you let it.
It has been Since Sept 1 that I quit and I feel so much better now. It takes more that just quiting it takes alot of healing in you mind.
Positive things that you say to yourself really helps.
Take your vitamins Magnisum/calcium ,multivitiman,
I do notice that is was hard around that time of the month to tapper off. I hope that helps some.

I got them thru James Robinson. There is a book if you can't called Who switched off my brain? that goes along with the tapes it is by Dr. Caroline Leaf.

Keep talking positive to yourself even those days where you just want to give up do it even more.

I have been of and on Lexapro for a while i went through dizzie spells for a while also!!But eventually they went away. Im still not 100% if it was the meds or just anxiety. But if they are that bad you might want to see a doctor!!
