Karen, do you have a friend or someone at the church that you feel calm in their presence. Could you confide your feelings in them and ask that they stay by your side during the church service? They could be your "wingman", so you have someone to talk with and focus on while you're hanging out during the service.

mollymae2...I haven't thought about that. Sounds like it works for you..that's great! Every morning before my mother get's out of bed she puts on the "whole armour of God". That may sound strange but it's in Ephesians ch.6

Aura, My husband was the pastor and Sunday was our last day there. We will be visiting other churches now. That's a good idea though. I'll try to remember that. :)
