Good for you Deb!!! I'm so happy you finally got results! Those of us with anxiety really have to push for our healthcare these days because we're seen by medical professionals as the "healthy sick". They see us as taking up their time with this ache or that when they have more "important" symptoms to deal with. Well you know what? These same docs are at more risk for lawsuits because they shrug us off when they see Anxiety/Depression written on our medical history page!
Good for you Deb!
I made it!
Hey,
Thanks for all the support.
What is a netty pot?
Rene, how did you discover you had the airway constriction/post nasal thing? Is this common?
Also, I'm not angry they ran heart tests on me. I'm angry because the first ER doc didn't tell me anything and sent me home empty handed. The second doc didn't listen to anything beyond my anxiety history, and told me my symptoms would go away if I took xanax. And I loved the third doc, in the ER and he ran the heart tests...what made me angry was that the heart test came back positive...and I sat there bawling for an hour and a half waiting to be admitted while they injected me with drugs that slow your heart, and that thin your blood and then the lab had made an error. The last ER doc was understanding enough to get me in for the pulmonary function testing. He actually listened, and he did a decent exam.
The real key is listening. They don't even have to be right all the time. Just need to listen to my needs and do something for them.
Thanks for all the support.

Deb45, Just wanted to give you some information about the Neti Pot. The Neti is a small ceramic pot that resembles a Genie's Lamp. It was used by the Hindu sects to irrigate thier nasal passages in preparation for thier meditations. It is excellent for cleansing your sinus cavities and it is a little strange to use at first, because you fill the pot with lukewarm water and a pinch of pure salt. Then you tilt your head over the bathroom sink and pour the warm water from the Neti into one nostril and it comes out the other side. Cleansing all of the germs and ETC. out. I know it sounds gross, but it works. It can help with many ailments from sinus infections to allergies.
