Thanks for the Joel Osteen website/info. Have just signed up; things that reinforce the ability to think positively, keep my mind off the negatives are so good to have. Am only on Lesson 2 (will repeat hearing it today) and am so relieved by the information. AnnieM

Thank you for sharing this! It was right on time and spoke to me exactly at my point of need. I am praying that I will be "transformed by the renewing of my mind" and want very much to think God's way - my way certainly hasn't been working well! Thanks again for sharing.

Hello Dawn,

I also live in NC and am grateful for the web information about Joel Osteen's devotionals. Thanks for sharing with all of us. I too struggle with unwanted thoughts which is taking its toll on my faith. I do understand that it's my own fault for this condition, and I take the blame for my mistakes. It is hard to accept how messed up you can make yourself by your own distorted thinking. I need all the help I can get to reinforce my beliefs. Thanks!

Hi Dawn and everyone,
I just finished lesson 3 (it was tough, but I am getting it!!!) and I'm moving onto lesson 4 tomorrow. I know that someone has mentioned Joyce Meyer's Battlefield of the Mind book in this forum somewhere, but I wanted to let you know how awesome her "Battlefield of the Mind" devotional is! It has several devotions that are quick to read, and they all have to do with exactly what we are learning -- how to replace our negative thinking with positive thinking -- how our thoughts affect everything about us, including our health -- and how God created us to be positive and healthy (which includes our minds).

I have found this devotional to be very supportive and uplifting, and it doesn't make me feel guilty or ashamed for the difficutlties I have had with my negative thought life. It just gives me hope and excitement that we are on the right path with this program! Now that things are "clicking" for me, and my eyes are open now to how negativity has ruled my life, I am able to take responsibility for those thoughts and turn them around.

I know that with God, "all things are possible!"

I just wanted to pass along that note of encouragement -- jmac, hang in there! Now that you can see your old distorted thinking, you can take the steps to change it!

Dawn, thanks for your reply to mine in the Lesson 3 forum -- I will respond to that later tonight.

I am so glad we have each other to encourage and support each other ... Here's to a New Year, with renewed minds and lives ...

Maureen

Just started lesson 3, but I feel discouraged. Sometimes this process feels overwhelming. Am I trying too hard? Should I stop over thinking and just follow the program and trust the Lord to change me?

Yes, just open your heart and mind to the program and let the Lord do the rest!

Thanks so much for the encouragement. You are about a month further into the program than I am. It sounds like you must be seeing results. Yea!

New to the program. Lesson 5 today. Really scared about depression. This e-mail was so needed. I know this is happening to me for a reason. I trust God and He is responding through people like you. Thanks so much. Please pray for me!

Yes runs, TRUST GOD and work the program. God was the one who sent the program to you. God is using all of us to help one another. Prayers to you my friend and the many hurting here. I've received prayers and help thru this program and are most grateful.
