There is an awful lot of religious posts lately, ain't there? They really do belong in the religious section that was created for that purpose. Just be yourself, not what people want you to be. In answer to your question whether anxiety, depression and religion are connected, I think yes, they are. Maybe not for everyone but for many.

Thank you all for the responses. I guess it is in the wrong section, I should have posted in "spirituality section". I guess I thought since it is referred to so much is why I made the mistake...
I truly hope I did not offend anyone.
The reply's not only answered my questions about the subject, but has given me a much different outlook. again thank you.

Of all the posts I have read lately about religion not the ONE word I have been looking for. Bobsdiane got really close without actually saying the word. Nells I know has it. The word is GRACE. We are in a dispensation of grace now. Not law thank GOD, that is really tough stuff. Christ came first to the Jews based on the promices of the FATHER. HE was rejected ny them and crucified by them. Yes the romans drove the nails but,,,,Undersatanding GRACE and who the Bible is speaking too makes alot of sence when you get into it. Read Paul's letters first, Acts then the Gosples. Not a prechin just given my 92 cents,,Bruce

I agree, this prob s/h/b posted under spirituality/religion section.

Never the less, I am so very happy it can be discussed w/o the need for such vicious confrontations as I've previously seen on here in the years gone by. That all of us, as ADULTS coming fr DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS/RACES & RELIGIONS - can MATURELY discuss RELIGION/FAITH as a whole & its relationship to ANXIETY DISORDER/DEPRESSION & RECOVERY.

Bless us for that.
