I have as long as I can remember struggled with depression. This year was really harder than ever. I worked in a incredibly stressful working environment, my friend support group all left and my father was killed in an accident two days before Christmas. One good thing to come out of all of this is I finally started to get help from a counseler. He wants me to go on medication and I don't know, but it makes me feel pretty weak and awful. He keeps saying it shouldn't that I am not weak but I still do. I always been the type to somehow figure out how to deal with things and work through things but I can't get through this. I feel ashamed. Does anyone else feel like this?

Don't feel ashamed. Do you wear glasses? They are a prescription. It's alright to take medication to get you through a tough time. You can always come off it in the future. Don't feel ashamed, I've gone through the very same feelings before. It's alright!

No reason to feel ashamed! We all need a hand every now and then. There's and exercise you can do with a wrist counter I learned in the book by Sam Obitz that is unbelievably simple and has helped lift my moods you may want to try. Most people are fans of the TEA form exercise in his book but I think the wrist counter exercise is easier and even better. Take care and you will feel better soon!
