Am so relieved you're OK, J. Knew it was a bad episode. What a marvelous friend M is. Lucky you have her. Now I want to share that I'm big into meditation, sitting and standing (QiGong). During that time I praise myself to the hilt, Positive Self Talk, part of the program here. Can't say enough good about it. Just consider: whoever praised us? Looking to others is a big mistake. You know, it's what I always thought was fundamentally wrong with FB, me out of sync with gazillions. I don't care. Must be my own person. Only took 75 years, ha ha. J, you have a lovely life to live, no time to waste.

R, I've tried coconut water, but decided I'll stick with Mounds (choc. covered coconut) actually my favorite candy all my life. Maybe the old neurons up there will keep charging and working. It's so wonderful to have you back, J. Brunch is perfect.

sorry, I can't seem to keep anything written without deleting.

Peace, Joy and Love to all.

Tina, I hope your ear feels better soon. Ear infections and ringing in one's ear is horrible. I'll google ideas for you.
XO

I'm including a link for Tina, I know you have fear of links, but this is safe. It's from WebMD...I'll think you'll find it useful...

That's a great website, J, thank you, gives all the possible reasons for tinnitus, a misery. I've been to the ENT for a lengthy testing session. No infection, thank goodness, slight hearing loss. I ran out of there.

Since it's Dec., Beethoven's birthday month, it will be his glorious music masking that madness in the ear. In Jan. it will be Mozart. What we can't change we turn around any way we can. That's CBT (program here). Are there hidden meanings here? Of course there are.

I don't know about hidden meanings, but I do hope your ear feels better soon. Your comment about change made me think of one of my 'go to' songs, when I'm feeling ALMOST defeated or upset.
It's called "Turning Tables" by Adele, but my favorite version is the video where Gwyneth Paltrow stands up all alone on the stage and no one has shown up for her performance with the exception of the person she is singing the song to/about.

I listen to it often. I'll try to post a link.

As for Beethoven, I think in one of Dr. Keith's(?) books, the madman is performing surgery to Beethoven. I seem to remember he has the music turned up quite loudly. Don't know which book or even if it is his book. I'm reading James Patterson's latest book called Merry Christmas, Alex Cross now, and it's a good one. I like that series..

PS
I'll get the program when I can afford it, as I'm not sure how much it costs. I'll definitely look into it. Thanks for the prodding. :)
CBT.. M. taught me to 'breath love in' and 'exhale fear'. That works too.

Sure like M's breathing suggestion. If I'm not mistaken R has the program. Maybe he can lend it to you.

Old timer that I am I must have a book in my hands. So I have Lucinda Bassett's book From Panic to Power along with 2 others. Gentle exercise and relaxation, meditation, eating well, are all part of the program here and CBT in general. There is info about it online. Honestly, it is the cornerstone of my hold on sanity. J, it can be yours too. Takes time and discipline, patience, and dedication. The rewards are so worth it. Off to meditate.

Hi Tina and R.,
I'm just checking in to see how you are all doing...Are you happy on this 12/12/12...Are the holidays bringing you joy or filling you with anxiety?
I'm busy working and continue to do well at work. I even have my own business card that the owner ordered for me and my sales continue to go through the roof. I don't mean to brag but I really do have selling skills that are unbelievable. I love our shop and I love our team. I'm happiest when I'm working.
Other then that I continue to swim laps but Yoga has been put on hold due to my schedule. I do try to meditate and I continue to talk to Dr. W.--We are talking tomorrow as a matter of fact.
So, I'm sending my love and letting you both know that I'm safe and sound and doing much better.
Love to you both,
J.
XOXOXOXOXO
PS
I've exchanged Christmas Cards with M., and that was a real treat. I sent her a sea shell that I picked up on my walk to work while I was talking to her on the phone. I really would love it if she would join us, but she sends her love. We are in regular contact.
XOXOXOXOXO

Hi J, always so good to hear from you and know that you are well. For many people work is a big rewarding part of life. Swimming is great exercise, some say the best. Meditating is not easy but has its rewards over time. You and M are a solid duo and that's enough for M. Good for both of you.

My years on sites and reading and thinking have worked wonders. Am at peace as never before, free of all holidays, all sentimentalities, am my own person, self-possessed. The only concern left is how to exit on my terms. I want to go out with my dignity in tact and no burden to anyone. Of the 4 of us in my original family there were 3 horrific deaths. Am the only one left and have no intention of going out the same way. Believe it or not, this cheers me. Feel hopeful, optimistic and always grateful for this site and you and R and LTT where it all started.

Santa is warming up the sled. Pesky Reindeer won't come to the barn so an Elf went to get them.
