What great advice. I'm writing all this down. Has anyone taken SAM-e? I bought some, but I think it might make me feel a little sick to my stomach. But then again that could be the anxiety. I'll try it again this weekend. Anyone take this??
I tried it...didn't seem to notice any improvement. I think I remember the directions said you should take it 30 minutes before a meal. Maybe that's what made you feel queazy?

A product called Vilift replaced effexor for me. Works twice as well. Its a blend of St. Johns, Htp5,vitamin B complex and a couple more herbs. I feel a hell of alot better.

There are some really good supplements that DO work for anxiety and depression. It really is about finding something you like. I have had my own experiences with certain supplements.
The following link is where I share some of the most commonly used supplements along with my favorite website for alternative health care information.

Scrapalini

I tried SAM-e back in the day. It did cause me some digestive upset and I stopped taking it.
I also read something that said that it could cause a relapse into mania for people who had depression and I remember that idea scared me.
I would "what if" it to to death. It just wasn't for me but I have heard of some that really like it.

Hi Spike:
Where do you get that? Tell me more about it.
I've got some 5-htp. But I'd like that mix.
Thanks.

Yes, Yes, Supplements are the next answer! I started this program and at the same time I started using supplements, kicked the SRIs,(Celexa) that didn't work anyway, cold turkey.(that was a very scary thing to do, I do not recommend the cold turkey part)
I got and use the book "Depression Free, Naturally" by Dr. Joan Mathews Larson, P.H.D. Her book explains the how, whys, and what you need depending on your self tests.
It has been a very ruff road to ride.
Also, please look up all Prescription drugs.
My doctor gave me one for nausea that almost did me in. The "side effects" I found out about amongst others are depression and suicide!
