Re: Dear Diary
J, you are our champion. Am bringing cauliflower sauteed in bread crumbs over fluffy mashed potatoes, sauteed zucchini and yellow squash on the side. It can be just about anywhere in the Rocky Mountains with fluttering, yellowing aspen leaves, aroma of pines, blue sky, small white puff clouds we can almost touch. Birds are darting about welcoming us.
I'm bringing short stories by Chekhov and Gogol. We will drink many toasts: L'Chaim, To Life.

Hi J, T, R and Curbside! bunny rabbit is somewhere..
Okay, J, I'll bring some brownies, pears, crisp apples, chocolate chip cookies, and maybe ice cream, it might melt though. Plus we need to add a bike ride along the mountain streams of Colorado, if not bike ride a nice walk to burn off our yummy food.
I liked R's suggestion of a good meal...I'm glad you had some chicken...I always feel better after getting some Omega 3's inside my belly.
Have a good Friday and weekend everyone! Paislee

Re: Dear Diary
Wow, what I could do with all the energy in all those goodies for the eating.
J, Was ya able to grab a happy moment or two today? Hope so and if not then have a double dose of make someone elses day tomorow. It is a way to gain some strength when we are void of strength for ourselves.

Re: Dear Diary
I've had two very good and productive days. I spent yesterday with J., my daughter, and today I was out and about by myself, just enjoying the weather, took Coco for a walk and sat on the beach in my sweatshirt with a book I'm trying to get through.
This book is strange. It's called Freedom by Jonathan Franzen, and it is really just about a psychological portrait of a family in an era when I grew up (70's) and in the same part of the country, for some parts of the book. Franzen really knows how to capture the human dynamic and sort of "why we are the way we are". It's fascinating, but it can be hard to read sometimes.
So, all in all, I'm better. I've also spent a few hours organizing my belongings and cloths, and just ridding myself of "stuff"
It's a start in the right direction.
I hope everyone is well. It seems the site was down all morning, so I'm glad to see it's up and running.
Take care, and I'll see you in the Colorado Rocky's.
XO
Love,
J.

Yes, the site was down. Also have tried to maybe correct the crazy times it gives, but have not found a way to do that. Just checked: it says 2:37 a.m. Well, it is 7:30 am. Maybe 5 hours ahead is right? Smiling.
J, you are a marvel of resilience, an inspiration as we each struggle through our storms. Nature will guide and inspire us, give us strength to carry on. I've read pieces of Franzen's non-fiction. He's a marvelous writer, but have not picked up his novels. Have too many waiting for me and am usually in with my book buddy, my son. Am reading Cosmos, by Carl Sagan who has me floating in space. A welcome escape from earth.

Re: Dear Diary
I had problems getting on the site as well. When I went to my bookmarked links which have always brought me here, it takes me elsewhere. A whole new homepage which doesn't get me here to the index. I've had to do a Google search and find just the right linking to get on here.
So not sure how that got changed except as what Tina was saying about the site was down or something.
J, I'm glad that you are feeling better. I've heard of Franzen, but I think that is about all, is that the author sound familiar to me at this time.
Have a good day everyone! Paislee

Dear Diary,
I went to my first real live YOGA CLASS this morning. And, it wasn't a beginners class, And, I didn't hide in the back. I rolled my mat out right in the front row.
Wow is it hard, but I LOVE IT. My favorite part is when you fold your hands in prayer, inhale and then exhale chanting OMMM...
Tomorrow at 6PM there is a beginners class that I'm going to try to make. I have my psychiatrist at 4:40 so I should be able to make a 6PM class. I will be sore tomorrow. Oh, and the teacher's name is Tina.
XO

Re: Dear Diary
J, is this for real? How many years ago did you first consider yoga and I was trying to be sort of a coach? Tina better tell you to do only what's comfortable. There is to be NO pain. You gradually stretch, bend, twist, whatever. Yoga is between you and yourself.
Am so excited for you. Go slow, it is there above all to be enjoyed and make you feel good. Keep us posted.

Yes, It's for real!!!
And you're right. It's very compassionate, and about opening your heart and mind and stretching your spine. I didn't push myself, because I know better. I don't want to be so sore that I won't go back. My legs are very, very long, and my torso isn't, so I was sort of spastic in a funny way.
I think you are remembering when I bought a video and a mat and tried to follow on my computer, but then my husband walked in and was staring, and ruined it.
This is so different. It really is about opening your heart and mind, and forgiving yourself and having compassion for yourself and She was talking about how beautiful we are and we should notice the beauty in each other.
I do need the beginner class though, because I didn't understand a lot of the words she was calling out. (positions) so, I just copied what the other ladies were doing. The studio is gorgeous and one whole wall is mirror, so it is easy to see if you are doing it correctly. Oh, also, there is a Buddha right in front of us. I LOVE IT.
Namaste.
PS
Thank you R. for getting me back on LTT (Facebook) I would have floundered in cyber space neverland unless you let me rejoin. So, Thank you for that.
