Thank you all and ESirtak!
The latest update is I found a temporary position. I'll keep the story short--an agency called me Tues morn at 9:30 regarding a temp position with the possibility of permanence - and the income is absolutely "sinful." Meaning great! j(The company needed me there now!) I had an interview that afternoon for a possible permanent position which I cancelled--then another agency had me scheduled for a two wk temp position for a pitiful salary.
I zoomed over to the company; I had 8 hours of training in a financial busy; (meaning strict; uptight) I needed to answer the phone on the first ring. I jumped in within 2 hours answering the phone and asking for things to do. I was politely told that I answered a call on 2 rings and that was unacceptable. "I'll do better." Then I find out they're continuing to interview people and I'm not sure I'll get an interview. So stress, panic and anxiety hit me and I sent an email to the agency.
She called me on my cell leaving me a message NOT to use the company email to send messages since I was a temp. She is the only person I emailed. I have been model employee especially when the agency asked me to stop by their office and told me to stop at a store before I get to the job and remove my "bright" fingernail polish. And oh "purchase hose while you're there." I was wearing slacks and no open toed shoes.
Back to my email to the agency--I asked would I be able to interview for the position--the hiring manager barely says two words to me; I also asked how long this position would last and possibly the nail to end the position "Since this is a temp job would they allow me time to go on interviews?"
Ugh, it doesn't sound good, does it?

Wow, they are picky! They seem to be a bit controlling...I hope it goes well. Sometimes these companies sort of make up the rules as they go. How are things now? Paislee
