"listening" to audio. . ."watching" video--as described in the Introduction pages x and xi (in newer program). . . the section is called: "Stop! This is your weekly schedule". it is preceded by notes on the relaxation session (CD) that you might find helpful too--good luck and happy new year!
I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

Doogiet: Haven't you been following the directions?
Why do I always end up asking you questions, Doogie?

Lynn: 'Cause yer curious? I dunno. ;)

I seem to have lost the video section. I've been listening, though, and going through the book. I haven't done the relaxation bit because I did it a ton when I went through the program years ago and it didn't seem to help. I started to use it to put myself to sleep.

I suppose I could give it another go, though.

I know that everyone finds the program different, we are all different people. I feel a bit overwhelmed trying to do it "correctly". I think as long as we are making an attempt, to listen, watch and try to follow directions as best we can that we are making progress. We could "should" ourselves to death. I do so many things wrong that I feel I have to change my whole life how I sleep, eat, what I drink-caffiene- my lack of excercise etc. My negative thoughts, I am a mess-I need to work on one thing at a time it is all too much

I guess asking questions is just who I am. My boyfriend says I ask entirely too many questions.
I realize that we're all different, but many people have used the program successfully by following the directions. It's very well thought out.
If doing it the way you have been isn't working, it's time to try something different. I know you'll find the thing that works for you.
I'm with you on the relaxation tape. It puts me to sleep!
Also, loved your post to the woman who had lost her faith. It was fabulous!
And, I got through this without asking a single question!

I think you summed up the whole program's objective in one statement of "maybe these thoughts aren't the symptoms of my depression, but the cause of it." Anyone see a light bulb moment?

Sounds like you had a small breakthrough to me, congratulations on your cleaner home. And thanks for making me smile this morning!

I think it was a huge breakthrough, actually. I still haven't vacuumed, but at least I feel better about the mess.

Maybe that could be today's goal.

I tried to keep it short but to the point. I'm glad to know I'm helping. :)
