Support circle for depression

Anyone suffering from depression may post their history, experience, comments and/or suggestions. Please refrain from indepth discussions about medicines or other therapies.

Hi debchance. Wanting others to say we are worthy really is something we learn at an early age. I wish we could have spent as much time learning how to believe in our own value when we were young as we spent getting encouragement to seek approval from others. We simply don't need anyone else's permission to be ourselves. I hope Session 4 is a huge moment of success for you.

I've been perscribed Paxil and have been reading horrible stories about it. Now I'm freaked out to even try to take it. Does anyone have experience with Paxil? Is there another med that doesn't make you feel like you're coming off heroine when you stop? I can't imagine doing that to my body but I need help!

I myself also as try doing this program when I ferst got diagnost with dipresion, but after Istared to feal betr i tos the program as
side I was com pleaty recoverd 1n three months, so I
also tos my meds 45 mg Remoron. withing one week i was heven more dipressthan than i was before, heven when i restarted meds it did not work the same as before I just started setion one that was asfar as I got to lastime I am notsure but I think yuo mist the lessins in the program I think it mite be agood idia to do the program again or ask for a coach. from yuor statments it souns like you compleatl mist it, becous from my understaning all thyis disorder ar all stemed from the same from the same place our mines,so the the goal is not to fix you it's to give you the tool to fix yuor self and as for as medction go's that alon will not solve your brolems in the longrun that is just a tool just like the program, if we lean on eny one too hard it will break but if we cobin all of the tools and apley them every day of our life to every situation then we can truly control our worpt mines' becous that is all that it is. we need to change the way you look at situations in our lifes. reserch ass shown that dripersion coms from the mine some people say that it runs in familys the might be tru becous if somone in your family as a worpt mine and you live arond that when you'r growing up or evn right now you might develup the same kind of thinkin and or beaviyer so wath we need to do fers of all we need recogniz the beavier. the problem i hade with reconizing this is people that are not dipress say and do some of the same things. I when to the gym yesterd evendo i was diperess and anxus, becus of the program I am tryn doing thing I normaly avoid I also whent in ther pool for the first time. so ther was this kid
about my age 24-26 he was the lif gard so took a leap of fate and try bing social with him evenwith the fear of embarasing my self, so i started asking him some questions about swiming and how deep the pool was he was geving me a very bad vibreation but I diceid contiuntalking he was siting ther with a sirus look on is face don't evn want to ansure my qusetion so i ask him if the gym as a martial art program he was not sure so i ask him how long he as been working ther I was
shoq when he seid 3years it turn out him not the one how embaras my self. so when I whent back to the change room ther was elderly man right infron of my locker so I sparked a convation again this time i was geting a good vibration so I we talk for little bite he was very posivte we talk about working the night shif and the only thing negtivething he sed was somtime he dont get to sleep in th day,I was nat so enthusiastic about working night that is the shif i work right now. what is the lessinin her? young man working with lots of atractive womon and look miserble or an elderly with posible medcal condition and is still happy and energetic.

Today is my first day with the program. I have suffered with depression some in my life, but the past few years have been the worse. I had my thyroid removed 3 years ago and it seems the depression has taken on a life of its own. I have tried SSRIs a few times, but only makes things worse. Anyone else have thyroid removed and having trouble with medications being regulated?

Hello everyone, I am new to this just stated the program I am on week 2 I am havin a hard time getting it all done in a week I feel stressed because I am behind. I am behind in everything really so its not just this. I dont really know where i fit in I a rapid cycing bipolar, plus ocd and panic atacks. It might all be just one problem with lots of names. If I dont fit in here where do I go?

Hi everyone! I too am experiencing the constant
fatigue and lethargic bouts with depressions. Please keep the good info coming.. I am starting
my program this week.I have always struggled with constant bouts of depression. It seems to have stemmed from my childhood some 40 years ago. I have always put others before myself and became the free service for babysitting and staying with the aged family members because noone else had the time. Now I am nearing retirement and would like to enjoy some of what is left of my life, and non of my sibling sisters seem to like me any more.

Hi, all! I haved just started my program two weeks ago, and I am behind already. I started spiraling down about two months ago. I ordered this program, went to the doctor and my number one goal is overcome this. The last 30 years of my life have been filled with what ifs, wrong choices and sometimes no choice at all.
I don't like to journal, probably because it means thinking about my depression and how to fix it. I believe I have the tools now and by the grace of God I am taking control from this day foreward.
I want to be included in your group.

Pecos: Thanks for your input. I thought I was alone in my feelings, yet you described the same symptoms I have. I have done the meds, and therapies, felt like all I was really doing was giving my money away, because the results were not lasting long enough to help in the long run. I never got along with any meds, I seemed to have the side effects. My therapists never suggested or used cognitive behavior changes. Felt like the medical world is on a money grab with depression and anxiety.

I have found a herb that really works good for me to keep me calm, but be sharp minded, and energetic. I also get a good night's sleep. This is a real good treatment for me. I have not gotten depressed at all since I started on it about a week ago. I have not gotten anoyed or angry. I have not felt any gult trip attemps from others. By no means have I felt dull minded or nervious. I feel perfectly normal.
