Hi Mike,
Good old anxiety, yep had the tightness in my chest almost everyday when working due to certain staff issues. Quit and it's gone.LOL
Also check on your allergy med as some can cause anxiety to worsen. Some should not be used with certain AD's or anxiety meds also.
Take care, hope you feel better soon.

Hi Mike,Originally posted by Mike Ortiz:
Difficulty breathing and tightness in my chest are the two worst symptoms for me. These are the two that I battle with all the time because they cause the most discomfort.
It is a very uncomfortable feeling but can be controlled quite easily. Just keep taking in 2 slow deep breaths through your nose, then slowly exhale through your mouth, keep repeating until you start to feel relaxed and more calm. You can do this at anytime and any place without anyone even knowing you are doing so. It takes some time at first but as you begin to feel it works you will automatically just do this. It's been a real help to me and seldom I need to use it anymore. Also use positive thinking to calm yourself. Talk to yourself about happy and pleasant thought's, scenery, anything that gives you a good feeling inside. Positive self talk works wonders!!
Hope this helps.
Take care, relax, and BELIEVE In YOURSELF!
