my panic attack was more like a real fast heart pounding for about 5 sec than everything was o.k in a way when i called my boss to tell him I was going to er I started shaking and crying then after that release of emotion I kinda felt fine anyways people here with panic attacks describe it a little difefrent than what I experienced I have felt scared and anxiety ridden since but I wonder if I had a panic attack or something else what do you think

one friend said I might of had a seizure but I dont know and would of it showed up on my ekg or x ray

or maybe I'm just a hypercondriact (i know I spelled that wrong) any info would be helpful
I'm not crazy, just a little unwell

Well I'm not a Dr. but my guess would be anxity, just because you said you felt better after crying and releasing the emotion. Been there done that lots of times. I thought ok something is really wrong or I'm loosing it. Then I would call or go see my suport person, cry and talk it out and felt great after. To ease your mind go see your Dr and rule out anything you might be thinking it is. Give your self a peace of mind so you can move forward and work the program.
God Bless

Everyone experiences panic attacks differently. But, the shaking and crying sounds familiar. My friend that also has them says she cries a lot during them. But, I don't. I just feel sort of frozen and scared and crazy (fun!)

I also have jitters and shakiness when I have them.

I don't know if seizures show up on an ekg, but I've seen seizures in my daughter and my mother in law and from what I've seen it doesn't sound like what you had at all. It's sort of a stiffening and shaking and not able to control your body. I think you would have known it. . . both of my experiences we've described to the doctor and right away they knew what it was.

If your heart was pounding for about 5 seconds, that could easily just be anxiety from adrenaline. I try to tell myself that adrenaline is just something that my body makes and it can't hurt me. But, it can do some strange feeling things to you! Do you know about the physical symptoms adrenaline can cause? I have had an echo-chardiagram many years ago because of my unusual heart rate but they didn't find anything wrong.

Hi Rocky,

You are not alone. I have had this disorder my whole life and let me tell you all the numerous ways I have experienced anxiety and panic...lol....too many to list!!!! It does happen with different feelings to different people at times. I get a lot of dizziness, heart-palps, shortness of breath, shaking, sweating, and the list goes on. I am not a doctor, but what you have described....it's anxiety and panic. Read up on it and learn, that will help you deal with it easier.
