The spiritual response to anxiety and depression

My husband doesn't want to go to church, (the place of worship the church meets in; I like that) After spending 2 tours in hell, he has a hard time believing in a loving God. I feel God wants me to be with him and worship with him, I put on TBN or one of those, and we listen to the word together, he was "drug" to church as a child, he is not ignorant in the word, but Faith comes by hearing. and if I am not home with him, he watches some ball game. I took our kids to church and left him alone untill they got big enough to drive themselves, and they both attend church regularly now, and it was good to go to church with God those months, and I will do it again, it helps to worship with neighbors, that is why even though the only church for 30 miles is Baptist, I could not go past my neighbors to worship with others, I just don't feel right doing that, I was raised in a Holiness Church, my daughter still attends a Holiness Church, my son likes the Lutheran, all in their neighborhoods, they live in Vegas, and their are more churches there per capita than any wear in the nation., It has been a long 40 years bringing my husband back to God, and it is happening, we have even talked about the positive things God tries to do when men let Him, My husband's heart is softening. form don't bring that Christmas around me to I'll put the lights on the tree outside. slow steps, but sure worth it.

We can plant seeds cfe, but only God can make them grow. Seems to me God has a plan in store for your husband. Glad he's coming around. Have a good one... Jim :)

Screw Loose,

If you enjoyed that explanation…the person who wrote the article (Joe E. Lawrence) has a site here: http://www.inspiretomorrow.com/

or you can find a bunch of Joe E. Lawrence’s articles here: http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Joe_E._Lawrence

You’ll probably find other explanations of his you enjoy. That is probably where Jim2 took this from.

Jim2,

You really need to start crediting the authors and citing the sources for all the writings you copy and repost here (especially when it’s a paragraph or an entire work like this one and many others you’ve copied and posted)…it’s very improper practice and unethical not to do so.

From a legal standpoint, it’s considered plagiarism when you don’t. But just from a good faith standpoint…it makes sense to keep a person’s name with their work: how else can they expect to grow readership and build support? It impacts a writer’s living.

Separating an author’s name from their work is the worst thing you can do to them—and certainly not something you’d want to intentionally do to an author who has inspired you and others. Joe E. Lawrence’s explanation hit home for a number of people here…wouldn’t it be a shame if Lawrence writes a book but then no one here knows who he is? Or the authors of the other posts you’ve copied?

S. Loose,

There are others on this forum that will enjoy Joe E. Lawrence’s articles I’m sure. I did nothing wrong or judgmental by properly crediting Lawrence for what a number of readers here found to be exceptional and informative writing.

You could care less who the author of a writing you highly praise happens to be…you make that clear. I obviously think Forum members will care…but what I personally think matters far less than what the U.S. Law thinks. StressCenter certainly feels it’s important for people like us to associate their Name with their writings and product: who wants to have their hard work taken from them? Plagiarism is a big deal S. Loose…it’s considered an act of fraud…I’m not making it up…it’s not a judgment of mine…it’s a good law that protects ownership.

You are the first person in my 5 years of posting to this forum, to accuse me of being judgmental. Considering I’ve now posted 486 times…I believe that’s a good record and I’m quite comfortable and proud of my positive contributions to this community.

I understood before I posted, that pointing out the truth in this circumstance was not the path of least resistance (no matter how politely I attempted to put it)... but I read 4 recent posts of Jim’s before I posted this and 3 took credit for others words (One site states clearly that they require giving permission before reproduction of their material)…so this wasn’t the first post. But S. Loose…1. What I said was true 2. What Jim has been doing discredits authors/publishers and just isn’t right and 3. I felt bringing this to Jims and the forums attention was important enough to outweigh taking the path of least resistance.

It would be nice if you would read thru a small random sample of my posts and realize that you’ve too quickly reached the conclusion that I’m judgmental. That would be my hope, but I still stand behind my original remarks.

Justin O. Pinyon,

I dont think you were being judgmental at all. Jim will be the first one to tell you that he has copy and pasted on here so I don't think that he probably even thought about it. We will see what he think about it if he posts on here. I don't see Jim intentially doing anything that he thought was wrong. Alot of the things he has wrote I have heard preachers and such talking about the same things so maybe he didnt get it from that site and maybe he didn't know who wrote it. If you would have asked him where he got that from he would have told you in a sec. I do think that we should all keep in mind if we are copy and pasting that we need to add their names so thanks for the reminder it is one of the rules on here. I am guilty of doing the same things intil someone tells me it was nice and then I tell them where I got it from, slips my mind when I am writing and trying to help someone that I feel I should write. God bless you!

ive been on other forums, including this one, and have seen sevral people pasting. one has to get the info from somewhere.im sure you yourself learns from other sources. i read several books on diffrent things, but i sometimes find it easier to paste than put it in my own words, if i think its true.makes my world easier.ive read countless postings from jim2, and he says he pastes all the time.i dont think he did it to steal something.i think he did it cause its what he believes in. well, sorry i called you judgemental, maybe that was out of place.but at least give jim2 credit for not wavring from what he believes in.wish there were more people like that here. i only come here every once in a great while. i didnt know there were so many other beliefs.i find it strange that someone could beleive anything except for jesus.

Jennifier,

I would like to respond more to you, but I would need to cite examples for why I see it differently than you; and that would likely appear to some that I was intentionally using the opportunity of responding to you in order to be mean-spirited towards Jim2. I am not mean-spirited…or intent on having this post deleted.

I wanted to acknowledge your response to me and let you know I read and understood your view…I just respectfully see it very differently.

My best,

JOP
