now that I'm not obsessing and worrying about everything I find my creativity has gone through the roof and I'm wanting to do a lot of things.

So....this week I decided I wanted to get back into metal dectecting. It's something I used to do about 10-15 years ago but quit.

I live in an apartment and there is a guy who litterally lives next door to me and he has one and I mentioned it one time in passing but he didn't give the time of day so that went no where. That was about 8 months ago.

Well yesterday, I did some research on the internet about detectors and decided on one. I found the only dealer around was about 30 minutes away in another city. So being the slightly less anxious and paranoid person that I'm becoming set out for the shop. I get there about 30 minutes before it opens and feel a little anxious from the drive, but I busy myself with a phone call. Then the shop owner gets there and there's a lady that pulls up while we were waiting. Anyway she motions for me to go in. I'm on the phone so I tell her to go ahead. anyway, I go in after the phone call and she was so nice and we talked for a bit while we were waiting to get waited on. that put me at ease big time. Then I talked to the shop guy when everyone left. I mentioned in passing about the guy next door and he asked me to describe him. and he said he thought he knew him! Well anyway, we talked and I went back home after purchasing my detector, some 20 miles and 30 minutes away. next thing I know I get a knock at my door. It's my next door neighbor who I don't think has ever spoken to me. He asked if I was the one who bought the detector from his friend and brought me a magazine to read on the subject.

Very funny how things worked out. My first excursion outside of my comfort zone traveling and it was a great experience.

Wow! That is pretty neat. It's amazing how small the world is sometimes. But you know, God has a neat way of doing things for us like that. It happened for a reason! Everything does work out and I think you learned that today.

My Friend, with his detector at the Park, just found a very Large Silver Ring w/a Precious Stone in the Dirt! He said I gave him good Luck, just because I stopped to talk with him. Good hunting to You!!! May your future be full of Positives!!!

It's amazing isn't it how much time worrying and obsessing takes up and when a lot of it goes away we have so much more time to fill our minds with something creative and positive.
Whispers65- I see you made it thru the last storm.

Well I like Saturday's outing so much and it gave me confidence that on Sunday I went hunting for a book. I had ordered it because the closest place was yet another city about 30-40 minutes away. I ordered the book on Saturday but after having such a great outing I decided to drive to the bookstore on Sunday. I was a little bit anxious as before but it wasn't as much. I'm looking forward to other outings now.

NBGuy - Well I haven't found anything yet but it is fun. I've been exercising for about 3 weeks now, cardio anyway. After metal detecting Saturday my whole body aches. Guess I wasn't using those muscles. :)

Karilynn - I really do believe everything happens for a purpose. I've been wanting to talk to this guy for a quite a while now. I like older people and really feel comfortable around besides I don't have near enough guys in my life so that made this event even more special.

Seadog - Found nothing but junk so far but it's way fun junk. The more I get used to this detector the more I'll know what I'm probably going to dig up before I dig it up. right now it's more of a guess. I think it would be great to find a ring or something like that. I really like old coins so I'm hoping for plentiful amounts of those.

Mary - Thank you! Yup, I did make it through the storm. it wasn't fun but I did get through it. it's amazing how much my brain is just going beserk now with creativity. it's sad to think how much time I spent on worry and obsessing.
