I wish the body symptoms would stop!
I cant take the body symptoms anymore! Lets see my hands, feet, and mouth tingle my heart races i shake i go numb in diffrent parts of my body chest pain, one minute I'm hot one minute im cold , head hurts i think I'm gonna die every minute of the day or that I have ms or lupus or ect! I know its me but yet when its happening i cant shake it I have other symptoms but you get the idea! I just needed to vent and get this off my chest nobody else will listen and I dont blame them I'm a hypochondriac. I am glad there is a place like this where i can vent and not be afraid of being judged!
You are not a hypercondriac! I have those symptoms when I have a panic attack. It is like you feel like your dying of a heart attack and that you aren't sure your not going to have to rush to the ER. I know this all to well and have almost called 911 myself a few times. You are just not able to control your mind yet but you will. Remember to breath in through your nose for 2 sec. and out of your mouth for 4 sec. If you have someone to talk to you then have them talk. Go outside and get fresh air. You need to get your mind off of it. It will go away. There is nothing wrong with you and yes you are just having symptoms that you are making yourself have but they are real and you are feeling all of those ways! You aren't going to die and we are hear to listen and I will be here for you anytime that you need it! You can write me on here or on my email address and if it gets too bad you can even call me. You will be able to get through this and when it begins to happen then listen to a relacation cd it helps. If you need to scream then scream whatever you need to do to get some relief. Trust in the Lord Jesus' Christ he has brought me a long way from where I was and I just gave it all to him if you don't mind I am going to say a prayer for you.
Dear Lord Jesus please take all of the body symptoms from nursekr. Calm her body down and give her piece of mind. Take the stress from her body away and keep her calm. Help her to learn the way to calm her body down and help her to not feel the panic she is feeling. Lord Jesus help her to not feel alone and let her feel your presence around her. Lord Jesus let others realize that she isn't makeing anything up and that this is how she feel. Bring people to her to help her calm down. Touch her and heal her Lord of all the things that she is feeling.Lord Jesus don't let others think that they have any right to judge her in anyway and help her to complelty get rid of all of the feeling that she is having. I pray this in your name Lord Jesus' Amen!

The numbness and tingling around mouth and hands and feet, are because you are hyperventilating, try to count your breaths, breath in, hold and exhale and that will help. I hear you about the body sensations, I used to get this hot, tingling feeling and then I knew the attack would follow, I don't anymore. It is so hard to calm yourself down in the moment, but just flow with it and tell yourself these are normal sensations for panic and anxiety attacks, and it will pass. another good book is the anxiety and phobia workbook, I can't remember the author, it is a good reference and my bible. I have lent it out again. Hang in there and it will pass, you will be ok, but I know how horrible it feels. Take care
Hi: I know hit hurts. I am hving a hard time with the aches and oain hat I get. They get very uncomfortable. and take a lot out of me. I try to do the relaaxtion when ever i can.
At times it seems that it is the littlest and lightest thigs will throw me into aan attack and then U am so sore.
I am jjust hopin that in time this will pass. do not give up. We are all pulling for you.
I like to take a hot bath in the evening it sometimes helps me to relax and feel good. I soak in lavender bubble bath. Lavender is supposed to be soothing and relaxikng. Try it sometime an seef it helps.

Oddly enought I posted a new post about "Why Must We Feel Pain" and I am with ya!
Every little pain is starting to get to me. They are in my back, my neck, my shoulders, my chest, etc. Been checked so I now know it is anxiety. It is a horrible feeling.
I have been making great progress since 2-13-08. That is the day I am hoping turned me around. I took myself to the ER at 4am after waking with a rapid heart beat, panic feeling as if it was all going to end. My chest pain was different, kind of where it is now and almost everyday (my clavicle - it has moved since it all started).
Even when I feel good, I seem to have some pain and some days it affects me. Be strong, we'll all get through this together.

I'm not sure whether Lucinda ever deals with this but I've read in other books about anxiety that those of us who have it are much more sensitive to our bodily sensations.
I think the best thing you can do is let yourself feel the bodily symptoms and breath. Hopefully, you'll eventually become habituated to these feelings and they won't scare you.

Does anyone have any advice as to what to do when symptoms hit and you are at work? Where going outside isn't always an option and sometimes there is know one around to talk to. I do alot of praying but today at work all I could do is obsess over what is going on with me, why couldn't think strait or concentrate. I also get very tight pressure in my head and sometime it tends to move. ( I know it sounds silly, but its true.)When I feel the pressure in my head it scares me that someting is horribly wrong and I get even more overwhelmed on top of trying to do my job, which by the way is not stressful in itself. Any input would be helpful.

Just remembet that when you are at work the Lord is still there for you! I hae bad issues with being at work and having anxiety. I just went in today for an interview and had to take a test. I told myself that it would be ok and I told God that I needed to feel him with me, the feeling went away immedialtly! Have faith then tell yourself that you are just panicing. I know that I can get through this it will pass it always does. Tell yourself that you are fine and start to hum or sign or whistle. I don't know what you do for a living but if you can do something that will take your mind off of it! Stop allowing yourself to think of your symptoms because the more you think about it the more you worry and the more you worry the more your anxiety gets. Praying does help with it all but you should pray before you go into work for a sound mind and for the Lord not to allow anything to come into your mind to tell you that you feel one way and ask him to keep all the symptoms from coming to you. I found that before I do anything I pray and then I don't have to worry about all the things later on happening because they don't happen! I hope this helps! God bless you@
