Hi,
I have just joined the site about a week ago and I feel as though this site is not the best for getting the support you need. Especially, when you are having it rough!

I have posted several comments about having it rough or just in general asking questions and I see that there are many views but no responses. It is hard going through this and there is no one that knows more about this than each and everyone of us. I am just saying that we need to come together and support each other. If you view the file take a minute to write an uplifting word or answer a question if you don't know write down you don't know, but at least we don't feel lost...

Sorry had to say my peace and I hope that no one gets offended by this email!!

I think your justified in this post. I am sorry you feel this way- I too have felt the same.

My best advice would be for you to look for other online communities outside this board. There is a great LiveJournal one that I have found to be much more supportive/understanding than this one.

Best of luck

Candy,
Welcome to the site.. Im sorry you feel this way, i find lots of support here. Im not sure what kind of support your looking for.
I checked all your forum posts and every one someone had answered or given you some honest, guality advice.
Lots of people read posts, and dont respond, maybe they are new, shy, or the question doesnt pertain to thier situation.
Sometimes, yu can find suggestions are answers to your questions by scanning the different topics to see what others have answered or experienced... Take Care Nelly

Sometimes I don't know what to say and sometimes I just ramble on. There's a lot I see and don't respond to because I don't feel like I can help.
Maybe you could join the Wednesday night prayer group and get some human contact and know we are in this together.
You could also private message a few people who will correspond where they'd be sure to get back to you.
Hope that helps. These forums can be so uplifting!

Candi,
I sometimes get like that too. For the most part people usually respond. I'm kind of like Bev I read through all of these and if the topic is something I can't relate to then I usually don't respond. But, usually someone does. There are soo many wonderful people here with an abundance of knowledge. Give it a chance. I'm sure you won't be let down. Also, If you ever need to talk, you can private message me. I'm a talker :)

Hi Candy,
Welcome to the site. When I first started, I didn't know how to respond other than my own experiences since I'm learning too. But I've noticed since I started posting responses, it helps me and I hope and try to say something that I think will help the other person. I believe we are all sensitive, if not oversensitive, people because of our anxiety. I believe our intentions are all good here but noticed that the chat lines offer most sumpathy/support/encouragement on a one to one level, try that. Take care

Yes the chat lines would be good for more immediate responses. Not sure how late the chat lines stay open though. I started to try and respond to whatever I could but found it a bit overwhelming - There are a lot of people on the peer support here. I started in early Feb and already have over 200 posts!

Monik- You can start a topic of your own, or you can respond to one that has already been started. It may take awhile for a response depending on if anyone feels they may have some advice to give or can relate to your problem or who can answer a question.

Candiandricky, with this kind of assertiveness, I think you will go far with this program!!! You know what you need & aren't afraid to ask! Good for you. Keep it up & send some of that attitude my way! All the best!
