Thank you all for your suggestions. I treated myself to a nice dinner and got my hair done yesterday. I didn't feel much better but I was glad that I made myself do something. I also had an interview today and was having trouble leaving the house but I made it. The interview went well. I then treated myself to some cosmetics at Sephora and the ladies there kept going on about how beautiful my hair is and how perfectly arched my eyebrows are. It's silly but it made me feel good. Especially because they weren't trying to sell me anything so it felt genuine. I actually felt pretty today for the first time in a long time ;)

I'll bet that you are pretty, the worst thing we do ourselves is beat ourselves up,nothing is as bad as we make it out to be,I am just starting this pro gram also, but I have already realized that fear is just a state of mind, fear cannot kill you, look at fear like an adrenalin rush, it is only scary while your on the roller coaster, the ride will end and you will be able to stand back and laugh, it is not forever,I'll bet you will overcome every thing and feel proud of yourself, only you can help yourself to overcome these thoughts, because that is all they are, they are yours to keep or get rid of,no-one knows what is going on in your head, the mind works against us when we think negative thoughts, the power of positive thinking is a great thing, stay positive, you are going to get alot out of this experience, just do it.

jesse,

it's good to hear about your recent challenges, adventures, and success! volunteering has been good for me in many ways--it's actually led to two different part-time jobs. there's a free service called volunteermatch that lets you enter a zip code--then sends you a weekly newsletter of the opportunities that match your interest.

Hi MC Grace
I'm actually going to be volunteering for the NY Road Runners Foundation. I just have to wait for the background check to be done since I'll be working with kids. I found them through volunteermatch :-)
If only I can find a job now!
I'm doing my best to stay positive ragincajun but sometimes it's hard.
Thank you all
