I agree with the Abba one. The synth was a big part of ABBA music (just like Supertramp stuff.) and I've always loved the Mamas and the Papas. The harmonies were real tight.
You like stuff like the UC did. Canada had (has) a group that was played in heavy rotation in the 80's and early 90's. I still like them to this day. Their cd's are getting harder to find, but I managed to find a few
Enjoy !

Ha, ha, ha! I have this on CD (Best of The Nylons)! I haven't listened to it for a while but I've always loved it.
While I was burning the midnight oil last night, I was once again going through music videos on YouTube. Through another rather random path of links, I came to this video. This song always reminds me of when I was just a toddler. I remember my parents playing this one on the old hi-fi:

Wow! You guys have posted some great tunes. It stirs up some oldies in me too. There is so much good music, nothing puts you in a good mood like tunes!
I liked Carlie Simon too, and James Taylor, they were married at one time you probably know.
I loved SuperTramp too! your bloody well right! Quite Right!
I picked a song that Lucinda talks about in her tape. Thought we should post that one!

LOL... Sea Runner, burning the mid-night oil. I'm doing the same thing! I have not played around on utube ever. I found so many cool old stuff I forgot about. I entertained myself for hours! LOL...
Good job boys!
Hey and I learned about cleats for bikes! I always wore shoes and hoped my pant legs would not get caught in the chain! lol...

Everyone should own a Carly Simon cd !!!! Excellent !
Hey there Mr. Blue ! We're so pleased to be with you ! ELO and Carly are 70's ! Some of the best tunes come from that decade. Although cheese is the glue that holds the notes together of some of the best 80's tunes !!!!!
What ever happened to banana seats ???? I had a gold CCM with a banana seat ! It rocked !
As for getting the pant legs caught....that's what socks are for ! Tuck the pant leg in the sock. Just remember to untuck it when you go anywhere else.
I don't know if I could deal with cleats. I'm not a real graceful faller. I'd face plant myself with the shoes still stuck in the pedals. The last thing I'd think of is bend the shoe to release ....my only thought would be
AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
You want 70's .......even rockers like this !

I agree with the 7o's being cool music time. 80s I don't know what happened. I think MTV took over so many one hit wonders.
I had a banana seat bike with those v handle bars. Thats funny about the socks. LOL.... Nope never was that smart! LOL...
I hear ya Man O I would not do well with cleats! I would panic just checking if I could get my feet unstuck!
