Hey Chuck !!!! It's the weekend now, so don't even think about job stuff. Kick back and relax or go do something fun.

I had a great weekend starting from mid afternoon Friday to mid-afternoon Sunday at my brother-in-law's. I got bummed out when I got home. No word from the company HR manager, or the staffing specialist I met Wednesday. This staff guy promised to give me a template to get my two-page resume into one page.

I was down and disappointed--but not depressed--until late yesterday morning when my emotions started improving on their own. I have to say one of my best traits is resiliency.

By late afternoon yesterday, I finally heard from these two guys. The staffing specialist emailed me the template--after a thank you email for the initial appointment and two follow-up emails by me . The HR guy says he can get me in for the interview with the well-known company on Thursday.

Today’s interview today went well, primarily due to: the feeling of hope. I met two managers. The first I preferred more just on a personality level, but also because of his own background with the company and other sales reps. He and these other reps he spoke of had no sales background and they were hired by for sales jobs! Not withstanding it's been exactly a decade, I HAVE a sales background! If they were hired, why not me? We shall see.

I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!! :)!!!!!!!!!!! :D!!!!!!!!!!!! And with the manager I liked more.

The HR guy from the well-known company called me late this morning to say both sales managers were impressed with me and in fact hadn't interviewed a guy like me in such a long time. The HR guy said off the record that he would probably be making me an offer. I was pumped about that.

Just a few minutes ago he called again to say the manager I preferred extended me the job offer. Of course I excepted ;)! I start October 4.

Thank God! The search is over! And I am doing what I like!

WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS !!!

You may start sliding across your living room floor....NOW !!!!!

So, Chuck, from now until October, you can truly relax. You can kick back in the recliner and just do nothing. You'll have to get used to being in a good mood again though. LOL

That's AWESOME !!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN, CHUCK !!!!!!

Thank you so much, brother. My wife and I look like your avatar of Calvin and Hobbs dancing. Thanks for all your supportive messages.

If I do anymore sliding since the HR call, I'll make the Olympic skate team. :)

Great point about the recliner.

What's a good mood? :p ;)
