My Combatting Stress and Depression Program program arrived today! Yay! I've already listened to Session 1, and am starting on the workbook. I feel really good about this, and have hopes that with this program and God's good grace, I will overcome my anxiety once and for all.

Stay with it - you will want to devour all this information- it has drastically changed how I do daily business- I am off my meds - making changes - setting goals - and most importantly this program helped me figure out the source of my anxiety from way back- the more I realized about myself- the more excited I became about making the changes. Keep at it- you will see how much better life can be.

I wish you all good luck on the program. I took this program years ago and it helped me with severe agoraphobia and panic attacks. Over the past months I have had a lot of stress and my anxiety has returned, but nothing like before. So, i am joining you and am retaking the program again and still getting a lot out of it. The program is great! Key: take your time with it and do the relaxation cd (when you are ready) each and every day at least once. Again, good luck!
Thanks for all the encouragement. So far, I can see that my biggest "problem" is going to be finding time to do the relaxation CD. I work 12 hour night shifts, and digging an extra 45 minutes out of an already packed schedule of working and sleeping is going to be a challenge. When I'm off work, it'll be no problem to listen to it 2 or 3 times a day, but when I'm working, even once a day may be a scramble. But, I'll work on finding a way somehow!
So far, things are going pretty well, I think. I've had a couple anxiety attacks, but the program says that's normal, as you start to deal with the root causes of why you're anxious in the first place. I'll be starting session 2 in a day or two, and I think I'm ready to move on to it. Crazy thing is, I'll be going along doing great, no anxiety, and then I realize I don't feel anxious, and wham! Anxiety sets in.
Two steps forward, one step back! But, I'll keep moving forward, and hopefully my steps back will become less frequent.
