It is very normal...just do a search with the words (new to the program) and look through the hundreds of people who have said the same thing.

I don't really believe you need tips at this point in time. You already know that you have a problem and you already know you need to do something about it and you have a program that has helped 1000s of others before you. You know what you need to do.

Finding I am so fatigued. Each time I listen to the relaxation part I fall asleep. I can tell a difference in how I feel already. Any suggestions for chronic imsomina.

Prancer your post seems kinda funny (no disrespect)

You have problems with sleep but yet after listening to the relaxation you fall asleep. I'm not sure where the problem is. The relaxation part is helping you to solve the problem. Perhaps you just need to allow yourself the time to get better.

Yea kinda funny unless you have been living with chronic insomia for 10 years. I wake up about every 2-3 hours at night. Up for an hour then sleep.I have about 2 hours deep sleep. But you are right I need to let myself heal. Am trying

I'm sorry, when you said chronic insomnia i misunderstood. I thought you were saying it was just hard to fall asleep. Staying asleep is the problem.

In that case you could do a few more things to help. I've been professionally trained to help people with various conditions, including sleep. So I maybe able to help you with that one. There are a few things i'd need to know.

How many hours before you go to sleep do you consume the last food for the day? Or fluid that has some kinda sugar content (white sugar or natural sugar). Do you eat heavy foods for that last meal (dairy, beef, pork...)?

Do you have nightmares?

How water do you consume in a day (water with nothing added to it)?

Anything very stressful going on in your life right now? I mean situations that might lead to a significant loss (ie layoffs, having little time to find a new place to live...).

I have a light meal about 3 hours before bed.
no sugar
the worse nightmare was being attacked be a bulldog puppy. :) I train dogs basic training & behavior issues.
about 6 glasses with just enough crystal light to color water.
lot of issues going on

eatting 3 hours before sleep wouldn't affect it, as long as your urine is clear or light yellow you should be fine there too. Sounds like its more psychological...stress. Best bet is to continue practicing relaxation and that should tell your body to keep in sleep mode.

My sleep issues are complex. Started after I had open heart surgery at 38 from a birth defect just caught. Well may have started in my young adult years where I became an active care taker for my Mom. Pain is a big issue. I broke donw & started taking something for pain about five years ago and started taking pain med & later a sleeping pill. I have degenerative joints & fibro. I was always a health nut until I lost control of my body. I have been working on getting & keeping a good attitude

That sounds like alot to contend with. Have you ever seen a sleep specialist?
