my brother, sister and i live by the words of the movie "young frankenstein". we apply them constantly in our everyday conversations LOL

back is "beck" - "hello handsome" - "you're a mother's angel" - "where wolf, there wolf" - "oh i think i love him". we interspere lines and scenes whenever someone is tense or unhappy. if we didn't act crazy we'd not know how to act LOL

sadly, i can also do "eunice" from carol burnett's "southern family" perfectly. the first time was on the front porch yelling at the kids years ago. mama and my sister sat back in horror/amazement watching and listening. then they said - "this is a new personality, one we'e not seen before" LOLOL

Today my leg is not bad at all. I walked around the shop every hour on the hour to keep it from tensing up. Someone else mentioned about the back thing. It could very well be because the way I landed, a good part of it was on my back (when my leg finally bent back ! LOL)

Work was actually smooth again today ! I got to do my work with no interruptions. I love these kind of days.

Young Frankenstein - was that Puttin on the Ritz....suuuuuuper dooooooooper ! LOLOLOL Hope I got the movie right........you could say that the next time you and mom are at the check out ! LOLOLOL The cashier asks how you are, you could say SUUUUUPERRR DOOOOOOOPERRRR !!!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

I hate to show off, but today went smooth too ! The boss is on vacation next week. He was so nice this week that I kind of don't want him to go ! LOL

I even posted my vacation weeks today. This is the first year that I get 3 weeks. Unbelieveable LOL
I actually posted 2 of them. I still need to post one more. 1 week in July, 1 in August, then the last one will be when the kids are back in school. That way, the roads aren't busy.

My leg started to act up at work today. I got up and walked around. After about 5 minutes, it started to feel better. I think you're right about the back. A few mentioned that today.

As I look outside, the snow is almost all gone ! The sun was out until after 6:30 today. In a few weeks, the time goes back an hour so it will be light until after 7:30 ! I can't wait !!!!!!!!

a simply beautiful day here today - such sunshine. it was cold this morning and stayed breezy and chilly - but that sunshine!!!

work was good. i did bits and pieces of this and that. but never forget - i am the lizard queen LOLOL since thing 1 has gone, thing 2 needs someone to talk to quite often. i'm nice blah blah blah - it's who i am - but my back stays against the wall. with her, sadly, trust is a four letter word.

on the way home, my car's overdrive - od - light started flashing and the check engine light came on. i stopped at my mechanic's place and was told something about the transmission. who knows? but i do trust them. now i'm pondering what to do - what to do. it seems like every other month there's a bill for something that goes wrong on it. it's a mazda protege with only 50,000 miles on it - a 1999. there were years when it just kind of sat and didn't get to go anywhere - but then neither did i - sad LOL

i came very close to not going in to work today. i was so tired and the bed looked so good. it's that kinda/sorta dizzy thing i have going on. i kept putting on makeup and getting dressed because i knew i could always get back in bed if that's what i chose to do. instead i decided to go in and if i still felt whatever i could always come home. i stayed all day because it was just easier - if that makes any sense.

i've started going to be earlier by about 60 to 90 minutes. i think it makes a big difference. and here's the strangest thing - i don't miss the not staying up! that's a big deal for me because i am the ultimate night owl. i always have been.

spring break is the first week in april - i think. that's a whole week off for me. of course, with no pay. that's factored into my yearly salary. we still have 3 forced furlough days and there's talk of another 3 days off - again with no pay. know what? i've lived on less before - i can live on less again. i refuse to make a big deal out of it. how positive am i?

i've got 60 hours of vacation time saved up. i have no idea when i'll use it. maybe again this summer with my sister and her gang at the beach.

do take care with your back. sometimes it helps if you lie on the floor and put your hands behind your thigh - and gently pull your leg toward your chest. it releases tension.

party like rock star tomorrow!!! that's my plan!!!

If you trust your mechanic, then go for it. If you have any doubts at all, get a second opinion. I don't think that your mechanic would mind that. My truck is a 1999. I've been very fortunate with it. Everything (even oil changes) that I've had done gets 3 holes punched in it and it goes into a binder. As long as you keep the fluids clean, the brakes up to date and get stuff flushed out once in a while, you should be good (kind of like a person ! LOL) It sounds like your mechanic is trustworthy.

It was a day that went from good to bad then back to good. The morning was awesome, then all of a sudden one of the bosses had to make a smart a$$ comment about something and it went to bad. There were a few of us that almost lost it. I had to leave the room. It was a rude comment with a touch of bigotry added. I'm not a biggot and I found the comment extremely offensive. A few idiots found the comment funny which turned my stomach more, but after that, karma played a role. After the boss made the comment, one bad thing after another happened to him. One thing after another kept screwing up for him. I just sat back and smiled to myself. Some people feel that bad attention is better than none at all. He's one of them AND he's one of the bosses. I truly believe that stuff like that is one of the many reasons all of our work is going to China. It seems that people don't take pride in their work anymore. As long as someone can claw their way to the top, it doesn't matter how many people get stepped on on the way up. It makes me sick. It makes me realize that maybe I wouldn't be such a bad boss after all should the opportunity ever arise. As much as I had to struggle, I left work with a smile on my face. I work for a few hours tomorrow and none of the bosses will be there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to go for my walk after work, but I kept putting it off. I'll go tomorrow after work. I'll take it easy during the walk. I promise ! LOL

i watched the best movie last night - "civic duty". i liked it so much i re-watched the end of it again this morning. i am a true netflix addict.

today it was out of this world beautiful. mama and i took pony on the river walk.

i came home and started putting the christmas stuff back in the attic. my 18 year old nephew was supposed to be here 2 months ago - but he's a senior, works, and dates. he has a life LOL

i'm glad he didn't come because as i was taking stuff up - i was dragging stuff down to throw away!!!!! i filled my big square trashcan to the top - i am SO proud of myself!

it was already hot in the attic and i was up and down those steps 105 times. i was sweating like a field hand and it was so worth it. with just clearing out bits and pieces of stuff i have absolutely no use for or haven't even seen for years has given an extra 2 inches of heighth to my house LOL x forever

now that it's not bitterly cold, i have actually moved from the bedroom to the living room. it feels so good to have a new view LOL

i can't wait for tomorrow. it's supposed to be sunny and warm again!!!

i feel/am so energized by the sunshine.
