Ever since I started listening to session 1, I have been having a lot anxiety. Is this normal?

Hi Tamara
I too felt more anxious when starting the program. I was concerned that I might not be able to concentrate enough to benefit. As I got to succeeding sessions and the program began to answer many of my questions and relieve my doubts, I felt more comfortable.
Your other post about anger fit me as well. I have always had a short temper. The session on anger was a great benefit to me.

Hi Tamara, I didnt have the problem of my anxiety getting worse but I do remember Lucinda Bassett saying that for some people their anxiety got worse after starting the sessions. She said that was normal because for people that deal with anxiety & depression it's almost like a reality check. But keep working on it and using your relaxation tape. I started session 2 this past Sunday and I havent had to take my anti-anxiety medication since Saturday night. And I'm use to taking it everyday sometimes twice a day. So keep up with it. It will work, it just takes time. You can do it!!!! Remember.....think positive!!!

I just started my second week and I feel a little more anxious.I have some good days and some bad days. Im taking Ativan .5 once a day and would like to stop taking it. Any suggestions?
