I started getting these anxiety attacks that make me feel like I am flu sick and now when I get them I am worried that I may have to go to the hospital because I start to think it is something physical and the shakiness and weakness that come with it will last for about an hour. I have never had anxiety attacks like this before so I am worried even though I had the physical and blood tests doen to make sure I am ok. Any Advice?

				Hi rosalie1,
First of all I want to say I feel for you and trust me it will get better.
I need to ask if you are on meds, drinking coffee, or eating chocolate, sugary things, any sweets at all or sodas?
The reason being these will make the anxiety much worse and affect blood sugar levels, affect your AD's from working and just are so bad for you and this condition overall.
The flu like sick.. is it nausea, chills, body aches, and so on?
It really sounds like your blood sugar is going wacky and that will cause nausea, dizziness, shakes, light headedness, and other symptoms.
The more anxious you get the more it affects all your body chemicals being released and everything goes in a viscious circle. Once you calm down for a bit things settle down again until the next one hits.
Too stop this you have to be able to stop the attack by talking to yourself, calming yourself, distracting yourself, thinking positive thoughts, relaxing, anything that takes your mind off what thoughts are bugging you. BREATHE DEEPLY and keep doing it until you feel calm.
If they keep getting worse talk to your doctor about it. You may need a med, a med change, an increase in dosage.
I really do hope you can reach the point where this becomes more controlable for you. I know these attacks are just horrible. Luckily I havn't had one for a few weeks now. I can stop them by using what I have learned.
GOOD LUCK, Prays to you,

I have had those same things. If I eat too much chocolate or refined carbs I may get away with doing it for a couple of days in a row then look out. I get dizzy, shaky , I feel like my body is tingling or humming inside ( the vibration feel). I just had a ll my bloodwork done including a fasting bloodtest to see if i would need a glucose tolerance test. I was thinking maybe I had diabetes. All normal including my thyroid, my hormones and whatever else the doctor could think of testing me for.
Ive just started making some real changes in my body. No more refined carbs, sugar and especially chocolate ( how I loved the chocolate). Im hoping that will make my recovery go a little better. I dont need to be feeding the anxiety anymore than I do. I smoke and i really want to quit and Im hoping that I will be able to do that also as I learn better coping skills. I know i will feel better once I quit because I did before. One step at a time.
I wanted to ask Rosalie if you have Lucinda's program?
